[Platt]
You have a narrow definition of socialism. Basically, socialism is a system
that forces one person to care for another. The key word -- forces.

[Krimel]
I use the definition from Wiki, and the dictionary and from government
classes taken in high school during the height of the cold war and other
class taken in college.

I don't find your definition anywhere but in you posts. It seems a bit
narrow and targeted. Where did you get it?

[Platt]
Are you saying multiculturism isn't being taught in government schools?
[Krimel]
I don't know that's why I am asking you to provide examples.
[Platt]
Are you suggesting that government schools aren't teaching that government
programs to "help" the poor are good?.
[Krimel]
I don't know that's why I am asking you to provide examples.
[Platt]
Are you suggesting multiculturism doesn't teach equality of cultures?
[Krimel]
I don't know that's why I am asking you to provide examples.

> I and many of my fellow Americans think that it bad.
> Do you?

[Platt]
Absolutely. I assume you agree and are against Affirmative Action.

[Krimel]
As one who Absolutely condemns racial discrimination, I assume you support
affirmative measures to end it. Correct?

[Krimel]
Not much context there but it sounded like she was talking about record oil
profits in a time of war when Americans have seen the price of gas double.
She seemed to be saying we should take measures against war profiteers but I
didn't catch any mention of socialism.

Are you in favor of war profiteering?

[Platt]
My chart shows there has been no reduction in the poverty rate since 1970.
What's the problem?

[Krimel]
And the amount spent of programs targeting poverty is tiny. Mission
accomplished!
What's the problem?

> [Krimel]
> You do not have to be remorseful to acknowledge that your government
> committed atrocities. Do you acknowledge that what was done was wrong?

[Platt]
Sure. Do you acknowledge the benefits of modern civilization?

[Krimel]
Sure. Are you claiming that genocide and slavery are the inevitable price
that must be paid for microwaves and plasma TV?

[Platt]
Sure, but emphasizing the different context, especially the time frame.

[Krimel]
So you would want to emphasize how these other countries continued to pay
the cost of modern civilization throughout the 20th century, right?
