La "conformación" (shape en ingles) es la geometría del individuo o de una estructura anatómica y se puede definir operacionalmente como el conjunto de variables remanentes despues de eliminar las diferencias de tamaño isométrico. Utilizamos la palabra "forma" (form en ingles) para referirnos a la variación que permanece cuando se elimina la influencia del crecimiento sobre el cambio de conformación. Es decir, se puede definir como el conjunto de variables remanentes despues de extraer tambien los componentes de tamaño alométrico. En conclusión, la conformación es una especie de forma con residuo alometrico. Para ser un poco mas concisa yo diria que cuando uno obtiene los Partial Warps, donde se extrae previamente el tamaño isométrico (centroid size) uno puede estar seguro que esas variables son variables de conformación. Posteriormente, mediante una regresion multiple entre esas variables y el Centroid Size, puedes verificar si existe residuo alometrico, si no existe podrias hablar de Forma, es decir libre de alometria.
