Buttermilk Nutmeg Cake
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt (about 1/8 tsp)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, beat for 2 minutes on high. Pour
batter into a greased and floured 8 x8 x 2 inch pan. Bake for 30
minutes at 350�.
