That's what I thought. But then, how does this upgrading not affect my right
to use the software, if I have to return it? Seems like a contradiction to
me.

Sounds fair enough for me. So to clarify things up, if users are asked to
return their NC2 when ordering an upgrade, they would be allowed to keep
those parts of NC2 that are not on NC3 on their harddisk and use it until
death they do part? Remember, I'm not asking for myself here, I got my NC3
alright and still have my NC2 somewhere in the mess I call a study, but I
think it can be confusing to users.
