Just for the record: I never had any trouble with Chris either. I realise
the "faulty versions" on the NC3 CD are not his fault, and I also realise
that he doesn't write (most of) the NetConnect programs, he simply puts
them on a CD compilation. Which IMHO is a good thing. That's why I bought
NC2 in the first place: because it contained everything to get me started.
Reporting problems I might have with some programs of the NC3, has nothing
to do with problems with Chris. I never met him, he could be a very nice
person for all I know, and the occasions where I had to ask him directly
for support, he handled my e-mails fast enough for me, and good enough.
Nothing more I could ask of him. I report problems to this list, because
some list members might have encountered them problems before I did, and
might know workarounds (hey, I was sure glad someone reported V from the
CD not working, and the response being: it's faulty, sorry, download the
one from Vapor. First thing I did when I got the CD, was download V from
Vapor). I'm sorry to hear Chis might be done with the lot of us, as you say
it, but going by the recent mails on the netconnect list, I can't even
blame the guy :(.
Dirk
