THE MONTENEGRIN ASSEMBLY:
OPPOSITION TO ACCEPT THE LAW ON CORRUPTION?
PODGORICA - MP's in the Montenegrin Parliament will discuss today at the
session scheduled on the Government's request, the Draft Laws on Public
Procurement and the Budget.
The Public Procurement Law, one of the main instruments to fight
corruption, is expected to get support of the majority, since unofficial
reports say that ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), the
Socialist Democratic Party (SDP), the Liberal Alliance (LSCG) and the
People's Party (NS) are keen to support it.
The main opposition Socialist People's Party (SNP) will announce its
final decision about the Law before the beginning of the session.
The public procurement law, "the first reform law in Montenegro" will
regulate a lot of important matters concerning the public control of the
state budget.
MONTENEGRIN GOVERNMENT DISAPPOINTED WITH KOTUNICA'S PLATFORM
THIS IS AN ULTIMATUM TO MONTENEGRO
PODGORICA - Montenegrin government assessed the latest platform, offered
by Montenegrin opposition and Serbian ruling DOS for redefinition of
relations in FRY, as "a step back, creation of new complications and an
ultimatum to Montenegro".
"President of FRY Vojislav Kostunica, who is hiding behind Belgrade
platform, decided in advance what can not be subject of negotiations,
which means that only his opinion about joint state is right, while all
other are branded as separatists" - the ruling Montenegrin party DPS
announced.
Kostunica said he would talk with Montenegrin authorities about
rearrangement of relations between Serbia and Montenegro most probably
in September. Podgorica remains devoted to an idea that the best
solution for Montenegro and Serbia is creation of an Alliance of two
sovereign states.

CRNOGORSKA VLAST RAZOCARANA KOSTUNICINOM PLATFORMOM
TO JE ULTIMATUM CRNOJ GORI
PODGORICA - Crnogorska vlast je ocijenila da je najnovija platforma koju
su ponudili crnogorska opozicija i srbijanski vladajuci DOS oko
preuredjenja Jugoslavije " u osnovi korak unazad, stvaranje novih
komplikacija i ultimaltum Crnoj Gori".
"Predsjednik SRJ, koji se krije iza Beogradske platforme, unaprijed je
odredio o cemu se nece razgovarati", sto znaci da je samo njegovo
vidjenje zajednicke drzave ispravno, dok se svi drugi proglasavju
"separatistima" - saopstila je vladajuca crngorska stranka DPS.
Kostunica je najavio da ce razgovori sa crnogorskim vlastima oko
uredjenja odnosa Crne Gore i Srbije poceti najvjerovatnije u septembru.
Podgorica ostaje pri shvatanju da je najbolje rjesenje tih odnosa
stvaranje saveza dvije suverene drzave.
