You should segregate all world specific information so that it can be easily separated from the mechanics of the spell when that spell is re-used by a 3rd party. In this way, it will be easy for you to allow 3rd parties to use your spells without using your valuable world IP. The >reason< you should take these simple steps to make your content easily re-usable as Open Game Content is pure self-interest. It is in your best interest to allow people to use what you've created in this sense, and will not reduce the value of your creative work in any material way.
