It seems to me that the aberration was NOT the Creature > Collection but rather that R&R was the aberration. :-( > Oh for crying out loud! Look at CCI. It boils down to the stat blocks are open, and the names/descriptions are not. Have you even stopped to think why? It is because they are unique PI associated with the Scarred Lands, which SSS wants to NOT open, much in the same manner that WotC wants to keep Greyhawk and FR closed. Have you even noticed that the names of several spells have had their names changed in the SRD? (mostly those that proper name's in the spell name). As for the CCI, the stat block is all you reall need. You don't need the names or description (unless you writing a module for the Scarred Lands, in which case you need not worry about what they have opened, because you NEED to have a contract with them. Basically, it boils down to (at least for these three books), the fact that they closed (PI'd) anything that had to do with thier campaign setting, and opened any game rules (spell descriptions are in this case considered rules because you need to know what the spell does). Simple and concise, in my opinion. Now on the other hand, the post which I am quoting from uses the term "crippled OGC" in many, many places. But (unless you I missed it in another post), you never explain exactly what you mean by crippled. You also use the term for a number of different product. Now, no two products are the same, so crippled can be different or even to different degrees in each case, if they are crippled, which I am as of yet declined to even stipulate that they might be. If you have an issue, please make it specific. You made a big list and said they all contained "crippled OGC". List how you think each was crippled. Just claiming that something is broken does no good, if you are the only one who seems to think so. ************************* ********TANSTAAFL******** ************************* Rasyr (Tim Dugger) E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Ogf-l mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/ogf-l
