If so, I'd be really interested to know where it is located... If anyone knows, there's a whole French community that would be happy to see it too! ;o)

I could have sworn there was a French SRD.

Subject: [Ogf-l] Non-English material

Hi all!

As a french-speaking would-be publisher, I'd be interested in some clarification about publishing in another language than English.

1. There is no "French SRD". Can I publish anything in French that uses anything from it?
2. If I decide to publish material derivative of the SRD, since there is no French SRD, how can I know the official translation of a game term? What happens if I use a translation in French of a game term (that I belive is the right translation of the term) but which is not the one published in the French translation of the books?
3. Could I use something that is in the (English) SRD, but is not yet translated into French? What happens if I translate a term differently than the way it will be translated in the French translation of the book? [Of course, that can't happen right now since every book that has entered the SRD is already translated, but it could happen in the future if several books enter the SRD]

Of course, if the answer to #1 is now, I already know the answer for #2 & #3. Sorry if I've not been perfectly clear, what I mean is already difficult to explain in my mother tongue, but in English...

Thanks
Franck
