The 4000 slice figure is wrong.  It has 27K slices.

(slice = 2 lut + 2 FF)

The slice definition is quite hard to compare. A ECP2 cell use 2 luts (they
called it "slice"), Xilinx slice look the same.

They're very similar, but the Xilinx ones, I think, are a bit more powerful.
