Looks like I missed the config.sh change to switch from fbdev to
modesetting. Not sure whether that's the cause though.

No ssh since there is no USB, there is no Ethernet. Just unplug/replug the
power supply. ;)

Is the 2nd boot a regression from the Contrib image? Or a general issue?
Last time I checked Contrib image worked fine. So it is a regression. Moreover,
I think that Contrib image does not use GRUB, only u-boot.
Maybe the repartition confuses GRUB?
