Just tried it - and yes, that's what happened. So I'm thinking it is in fact
a hardware problem. That kind of irritates me. I wonder if the guy from swap
list who sold me this computer knew about it.

I have Apple Enet but not the other two. I've never seen either of the other
two on an OS 9 machine. My iBook has neither and is fine.

So, is it the consensus that a PCI ethernet card is the way to go here?
Anyone have one they wanna sell me?
