Just tried it - and yes, that's what happened. So I'm thinking it is in fact a hardware problem. That kind of irritates me. I've never seen either of the other two on an OS 9 machine. My iBook has neither and is fine. So, is it the consensus that a PCI ethernet card is the way to go here?
