Shortsighted on their part, the used market fuels the new market. Most of
the people I know who are buying new machines figure what they can get on
their old ones as part of their purchasing budget.

Additionally, marketshare is becoming a crisis.

And finally, no, I've never bought a new Mac, but I've led more than a few
people by the hand to local Mac store and helped them buy new machines. And
some of them were talking about escaping to Dell at the very last moment ;-)
