Helene, Sounds like a story for your Attorney General..if they are doing this to you, they probably do it to many others. It's dishonest and steps should be taken to be sure they cease this practice...if it is done by them everyday...

I saw alot of things that were in there.. Not samples.. but about 8-10 music thingys.. I had no idea how they got there, or WHY?.. and they were from 2002..(dont forget, this computer is ONE MONTH OLD).. and I DONT" download music ever.. So, when I've called Dell tech. I've been told.. No, dont' worry, just delete them.. etc.. I've ASKED several times. if the hard drive they sent me.. was 'refurbished' and was told.. NO. Of course not. Etc.. etc.. Well, today, I was annoyed. and REALLY annoyed, cause one tech, said to me.. They DID send me a refurbished hard drive.. AND, they're NOT ALLOWED to do that within 30 days. if the computer is brand new.. which it was.. So, the outcome is this.. I'm having the tech come to install the new motherboard... BUT,,, in a bout a week/or 10 days. I'm getting a BRAND NEW TOWER.. TOTALLY NEW.. WHEW... Spoke with a customer service Supervisor. and have the DPS number, as well as her number, and if I dont find it.. tracked within about 4-5 days.. call her, and she'll see whats up.. When I get the new tower.. I will be sending back the old one.(they'll send me a call tag). But I have to re-install, ,my address book, my favorites.. my emails(and have no clue how to do that).. The favorites, and address book I can figure out. but the emails. I'll have to research.. I'm so fed up with Dell. I'm not happy that I've been lied to.. I"m about ready to scream.(so figured I"d come here and vent). LOL Have you EVER heard of such a thing..... WHY ME..
