I know Manuel wants to have the SOAP / Web services support built-in in
PHP, but the XMLRPC extension already has initial support for SOAP. This
initial set of code could be used to develop the support even more.

Since the XMLRPC extension is now bundled with PHP, can we think of it as
'official' support for Web services ? My personal opinion is that it can
be regarded as that, and further work can be done there. If people want to
use SOAP, enable the module at compile time (or even dynamically load it)
and there you go - Web services support in PHP.

Is there anything wrong with this picture ?

Cheers,
Joao
