It seems to me that any will do better than the default one (or did you specify something more precise than «monospace»?). I selected 4 here: https://www.google.com/fonts#ReviewPlace:refine/Collection:Inconsolata|VT323|Cutive+Mono|Share+Tech+Mono Share Tech is modern and nice. Feels not so frequently seen. VT323 would be fun, and maybe not so ugly. Inconsolata is simple and classic. Cutive Mono is similar to Inconsolata but somewhat more legible. What do you think ?
