Hi, I had a 3 cm pituitary adenoma. I had surgery by Dr David Baskin at Methodist in Houston on Oct 26-05. He was not able to the areas around the cartoid arteries and some close to cranial nerves. I then then had 6 weeks of Novalis FST at the Houston Med Center. I too am fortuante to have short term disability and took off work. I never got headaches so did not have to take any steroids.I did get very fatigued and 7 weeks later still.get very tired durung the day. I have had hair thinning more so after the treatments that during.I went back for my 6 week MRI last Thursday and the oncologist said that there had been some shrinkage from the top area around the optic nerve.He said this is very good because many times he sees no change at this point. So I go back in 6 months for another MRI.Good Luck Terry |
