I underwent the Novalis radiation in December at UCLA. I had surgery four
years ago to remove an 11mm pituitary tumor. It grew back--to 15 mm in only
four years. Because of its persistence, I decided to undergo the Novalis
fractionated radiation. I moved to LA for six weeks and went for a half hour
dose each day. Besides fatigue, I felt no other side effects. The treatments,
although scary at first, soon because routine. After completing treatment, the
doctors gave me a 97% chance--or better--that the tumor would be gone for good.
I lost no other pituitary functions and my eyesight is restored. This
radiation--small, accurate doses over a period of time--is nothing short of
miraculous! Every day I am grateful that my neurosurgeon suggested this over
medication (which I could not tolerate) or surgery, which was very hard on me!
Novalis radiation is truly a gift!
