At work, 1996. Tridel is one of the first ISPs, and as such utilized
Linux as the network OS of choice. I had "used" linux (or was it unix?
slackware linux?) in admu's cs lab much earlier, but that was mostly for
chatting *grins* (yes, that 'talk' command hehehe)
My bosses at work influenced me to use Linux.

We used to get boxed sets of Redhat (5.1 is the earliest I can recall).
But we got slackware from downloading from sunsite. Now, I get it from
linuxiso.org.

I actually used (installed, configured, maintained) for ISP/networking
when I was 'thrown into the pan' late in '97 when I setup an ISP in Daet.
It wasn't pretty and it took me 36 straight hours, but it worked. The ISP
has since folded, but my love affair with Linux hasn't waned :)

Looked cool, interesting and challenging.
Of course, it's also free.
Plus of course I needed to learn it because of work.
> Why do you still use Linux?
Why should I use _______ (insert your other OS here)? Linux is stable,
free, constantly improving. I use windows when it comes to creating
documents, presentations, spreadsheets and the like. I can always do
these in StarOffice, tho.
> What is your favorite thing about Linux?
The OS itself and its stability.
