go athlon + DDR ram, it will kick ass in games... as for sounds, get sound blaster live/audigy plus a decent pair of altec lansing/cambridge soundworks speakers.... it depends on your budget. geforce 3 is the way to go for vid cards. there are a lot of possible configurations, it's all dependent on your budget.. so if you want more detailed help tell me how much you're willing to spend and we can look at what your options are. =)
