Having now installed CS. It runs like a dog. I have a 1.8 pentium 4 with 1.5Gb of RAM. Previous versions of Photoshop have worked perfectly, am I missing something??
I just started running it on Mac OS-X so I don't have Windows experience yet. Though the overall speed of the OX-X version is noticeably faster on my older twin G4 machine, I've noticed that it slows considerably if you have the browser open and the browser is busy loading its cache of thumbnails in the background... especially if they're either large files or raw digital camera files.
One other thing to look at. I always seem to forget this. If you use a separate scratch disk make sure to redefine it in prefs. A fresh install is always going to default back to using the startup drive as a scratch disk. Depending your system that might cause a performance hit.
