In a current survey of American buyers Macs get the highest rating for reliability and quality of service of all the makers of computers in the U.S. Admittedly, the Macs in question are unlikely to be two processor versions .I hate to sound like the Francophobe I am, but could your problems relate more to the quality of the French Mac agency rather than the quality of the machine itself or the policies of Apple?

We have used Macs for the last 12 years and apart from an annoying debacle over a clone we have never had reason to complain. In January 2004 we bought a G5 1.8 dual processor. In March, after two months of moderate use, it comprehensively crashed. We took it back to the local agent where we had purchased it and they replaced the motherboard and took ten days to do it, depriving us also of the use of our new scanner and our only DVD writer. We were glad that we no longer shoot assignments. We were appalled by the time it took and the relatively unhelpful attitude of Apple and their agents.....snip Peter & Georgina Bowater =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
