I also couldn't agree more on SP7. It is unfair to expect users to pay for DXP when they cannot use it right away with all the bug fixes and retraining required. On the other hand, I might be tempted to pay for the DXP upgrade if it would buy me SP7. I would see an immediate value to the upgrade and I could then use DXP at my leisure and when I felt it was ready, I would switch over to DXP. This is what I did with P99 and P99SE, but then ATS was not an issue at that time either. I am hesitant to jump on with ATS without SP7 and not knowing the actual working release date of DXP. Not to mention the uncertainty with the next release of PCAD and how the Altium developers will have time to support both products. This is the most uncertainty I have ever witnessed with Protel since I started using it in 1993~. It may well be that I upgrade to DXP and pay ATS, but not without them proving to me it is worthwhile.
