Ian, If you don't ever have to port to third party tools then the netlist isn't important, I guess. But on the other hand I made a good case how useful it is to trouble shoot a designs for single nodes, broken nets, split busses, defining differential pairs. But then if used a little program to scrub my netlist that would be third party tool.... isn't it?
