I've noticed that oatmeal is great for bowel issues. Too bad the stuff tolerable to eat is so expensive.

I've been an advocate for Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey for years. I acquired this information from Vermont Folk Medicine or New England Folk Medicine written by a MD who, at that time, still practiced, home visits. Its never left me down either. Oh, BTW, wait until you have tried some oatmeal in your diet too. Best Wishes In a message dated 9/6/2008 3:35:20 P.M. It was causing me chills and sweats all day and I tried all kinds of things like bean-o, gas-x, digestive enzyme tablets, etc., but nothing helped. Then I came across some info on-line about vinegar possibly being of help. It worked! No more gas trouble. I put a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in about 3-4oz. of fruit juice and down it at breakfast. Just wanted to pass this on in case anyone else was going through this uncomfortable problem.
