Well the mods have been completed on the frame. I have photos to post
showing how that has been done, pretty much the same as was shown on
Jim's site although Peter has used 40mm section as that was what he
had in the 'shop. The other thing he gave thought to was the next cam
belt change. He has welded the replacement framework slightly lower to
allow access to the camshaft locking thingies without having to fiddle
the engine around. This also solves any possible clearance issues with
the 40mm frame and the bonnet. I don't know if there would have been
but I am quite sure there won't now. Tomorrow it is the new steering
rack going in and the first trial fit of the new lump. Should be
wiring on thursday so maybe back on the road by the weekend. Fingers
crossed.
