What car is the engine and wiring from ?
Are you sure it's not the road speed sensor connector (fitted onto gearbox speedo drive), a 3 pin connector.

The coil should have 12v ignition on the centre pin.
The outer 2 pins will also be 12v but will drop while the engine is running.

The engine wasn't from an automatic was it ?

Subject: [Quantum Owners] Re: 2+2 Zetec conversion

First major hiccup, the engine is in, the looms are spliced but there
is still no spark. There is a connector on the new loom for an engine
speed sensor( labelled as such), but appears to be none on the new
engine. The crank position sensor and the cam phase sensor are both
connected. Any suggestions on whether this is a major issue. the coil
pack has three wires going to it, does anyone know what the voltages
should be on these three wires?

Thanks for your advice
