I would rather that my son was spanked than killed. It seemed obvious to me what I was saying. It doesn't matter who does it, especially if I wasn't there to help. How can you blame someone else for your lack of responsibilty? Be there or let someone else do your job. As to the incident of wetting his pants-I wasn't there because I was busy teaching another age group, which is more than can be said for the dad.   "How dare anyone make a child wet their pants" I'm sure no one forced him to wet his pants. Kind of another incident of simple disobedience. He didn't go when he was supposed to. If we had bathrooms in the building it might be different but to send a kid out at night by himself is against our churchs guidelines. Yes we run a tight ship with what we have. We do think ahead and plan. I don't care for your tone about my church. You need to control your flesh, brother in the Lord. I had an incident in Rangers where a boy wet himself because he wasn't allowed to leave the room and he didn't go at the beginning when everyone else did. The Dad was irate at the incident but my question was to him "Why weren't you in there helping the commander so that someone could have stayed in the room with the rest of the boys." He said he was busy...too busy to be there when his son needed him..I guess. Again - this isn't the issue - but this is OUTRAGEOUS. How dare anyone make a child wet their pants. If this were a leader of mine - they would be removed from leadership. I would tell the pastor and I would make sure they NEVER served with children again. Ever. What kind of an outfit do you run????? What kind of a church do you attend? My goodness - Lord have mercy on them.
