Duane, the direction you wish to go frightens me.

You want to go out of the church and into the community and involve
everyone you can.

That's well and good, but you are inviting a whole bunch of adults
to become part of a program who may or may not be Christian and who
may not ever entertain any desire to become one.  Yes, the potential
to minister to them is there.  In the interim, I don't want them
involved with my son teaching them their values when I don't have
any idea what they may be.

Is this the intent of Royal Rangers?  The original intent was to
create a Christian organization that ministered to boys.  You are
attempting to reverse engineer Royal Rangers right out of the
church and back into the world.

I can understand adding some of the BSA stuff to Rangers.  It makes
sense and it's good stuff.  But once again, you are trying to transform
Royal Rangers into an extension of Boy Scouts and once again,
I just don't get it.
