Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate the directions on where to find that tagging setting in MediaMonkey; thankfully it was checked as default to be updating the tags as I made edits in the properties window. whew!
I feel pretty reassured that the existing music should work okay as-tagged, but of course I won't know for sure until the duet is up and running. It's nice, though, to have learned here about tagging and gotten things reasonably organized prior to setting the duet up. Now I just need to finalize the naming scheme to use in dBpoweramp - I have a post over in their forum, and once I get it kinda figured out, I'll post here in the dBpoweramp for dummies thread. My goal is to have a dBpoweramp naming code that will simply be artist > album > track number artist - song title.flac for single artist albums (even if they are multi-disk). And then various artists > album > track number artist - song title.flac for compilation albums (even if they are multi-disk). At least, I think that would be a good plan. I don't really know!
