Hi:
At the start of September, I pulled out a bunch of freight car kits that
have been sitting around. since then I:
--finished building and painting my two BTS 50 foot flatcars for truck
trailers. These cars will be lettered for Blackstone Aggregates and used to
carry blicks of granite for monuments, tombstones etc.
--put weight in a couple of scratchbuilt 52-6 inch flatcars and they're
ready to roll
--put weight in four scratch built gons (one still needs Canadian Southewrn
lettering) and T&C and they're ready for the layout
--primed two left over PRS 50 foot SD boxcars that will be rebuilt as CPR
green newsprint cars--had to scrap off the top panel on the ends of them
match the CP cars.
--another one of these cars will be have exterior posts added so it
ressembles an oddball class of CN second hand cars
--received four Ontario Northand and four Railbox cars from DPH--will change
out the wheels and replace the lobster claws with 808s.
--did minor repairs on three other freight cars and they'll soon been layout
ready
--readied four BTS 80 foot and two 75 foot flats for lettering
--dug out four old Quality Craft hiside gons and started the process of
finishing them.
--on the to do list are my 10 Kaslo Cdn grain hoppers (about half done),
four QC On3 EBT coal hoppers -being converted to S for Blackstone Aggregates
which also ships rocks for urban gardens and a bunch of former CP bathtub
gons that will be relettered for Blackstone Aggregates (BAX)
there's a few others but that's what I've been doing (and trying to find out
what screws will work with my SHS couplers.)
