 No, I'm sorry if you misread my post about that.  I would *like* to do so
 but there are still a number of technical hurdles to me running Linux PPC
 on my box (I think this should be clear in my sage-devel post).  I am
 testing whether the change you made to support Linux PPC doesn't break
 anything.  Sorry if this is not useful :( and I wish I did have access to
 Linux PPC more easily; unfortunately, this requires either having access
 to an already existing Linux PPC machine OR trying to run an image of
 Linux on a CD even with so little RAM there is no point OR using a
 portable hard drive, which is a more significant expense.
