d then the regulations which
apply only in one of our colleges or departments(not across the entire
university) are put in the category of "supplemental rules". This is all
described at

your questions it appears that you are doing something very wise--- and
>that is to think very long term, about how the system you choose should be
>able to serve well decades into the future, rather than only thinking about

Theresa: At the University of Utah, this issue is treated as part of the Code
of Faculty Rights and Responsibilities, through a section which prescribes
faculty members' "Duties to Students"-- including a specific duty with regard
to what are referred to as "self-authored course materials" and

The University of Utah does extend its employee tuition reduction benefit to
domestic partners ( both same sex and opposite sex--no distinction is made), a
policy we were following long before the state government adopted its
constitutional prohibition against same-sex marriage. The policy has
th the luxury of more time
to get it done right once the 'emergency' has passed.

Hi all. Coincidentally we are doing a project very similar to Ardoth's
(although for our state institution) and I would appreciate any private replies
to that request also being shared with me. Bob Flores
