Works well, easy to turn on, if you have large number of users then it may
take some time to sweep through all users.

One thing that we did not like was that warnings of and expiry of password
was sent out as a email to all users (in our case 20K) not as a dialog when
they log on - this was considered spam and generated considerable
consternation. We worked with BMC to disable all notifications - the only
thing they see now is when the password needs reseting. the password reset
dialog appears when they log in asking them to change password, this happens
every 30 days.

We also added a requirement to include a number in the password - this was
straightforward (though there is an error in the documentation so check the
syntax).

Help with exporting an Oracle DB ....

2009-09-24 Thread Garrison, Sean (Norcross)
We have a 24x7 remedy system that runs on an Oracle DB. We are trying to get
an export from production into our lower environments. We are unable to just
lock out users in order to do an export. Whenever we try to do this the count
of the T vs H tables are different. Basically what is happening is oracle
is exporting the H tables first and then later gets to the T tables. In
between the exports new records were created on a form which causes the T
tables to have more records than the H tables do. There is an option called
Consistency=Yes when doing an export that is supposed to go back and synch up
all of the data but from our experience that isn't happening. The export
doesn't have to be real-time but does have to have consistent data. I was
wondering if there was a way to pass in an date into the export file so that no
records created after a certain date get included -- or something to that
effect. Any suggestions or ideas on how to get an Oracle export of a Remedy db?

Thanks,

Sean

Refresh record

2009-09-24 Thread Vijayalakshmi Paulraj
Hi All,

Requirement: I have a button in a Form called as 'Refresh'. When I click
that button, I should be able to refresh the current record which I am
viewing to see if there are any updates added by other users.

I can write an open window action to open the record in another screen,
but that doesn't look good, as the outdated window is still open on the
background.

Is there any way to refresh the current record in the same screen
itself?

Please pass your thoughts.

Thanks Regards,
Vijayalakshmi Paulraj

Questions in order (almost)...

Yes the Create operation will have to be called for each individual record they
want to create.

The difference between Get and Get List is Get returns 1 record and Get List
returns a set of records. You will want to use a Get List to return the list
of records for a qualification. I recommend you structure your result in the
following manner:
   Root
Grouping Element (whatever you want to call it)
   Field 1
   Field 2
   Field 3
   Field 4
   Field 5
   Field 6
   Field 7

Map the form to the Grouping Element instead of Root and set the MaxOccurs to
unbounded. The reason for the Grouping Element is that you can only have 1
Root element in an XML so this way you will return multiple rows.

Yes the Set operation will have to be called for each individual record they
want to create.

Subject: Web Service Get Operation

**
Hello All,

ARS 7.1 patch4
Win2003
SQL2000

I have created a web service for another system to consume. There are three
operations in the web service; Create, Set, Get. This web service will be
called from a .net web page. Users can create on or many records at a time from
the web page. Can I assume that the web service will have to be called for each
record?

When using the Get operation users will need to get list of records that are
assigned to them. I have created one element in the Input for the Get. This
element I have called Qualification. The web site will pass me the User Name
and Password of the user and the qualification i.e.; 'Assigned To' = user.
There are seven fields in the output of the Get operation. The developer on the
.net side is having trouble getting the data back. He seems to think he will
need to call the web service seven times for each record that exists. He bases
this on the fact that when he tried to use the web service to retrieve one
record he only saw the first column in the output. He has asked me if there is
any way to pass all of the data in one record in one element in the web
service. As I am not that familiar with this technology so I am not sure how to
answer him.

When using the Set operation they will be 'approving' several records at a time
from a web site. Again, I assume they will have to call the web service for
each record. Finally, can someone explain the difference between the Get and
Get List operation? Thanks in advanced for any help.

Norefreshing field 1020 (results list) DOES refresh the current entry,

This sounds very similar to writing code for the F5 function. I have an
RFE open with BMC to make it possible to code for the F5 refresh (instead
of having to have the user hit F5), but it's about to be rejected.

You need to refresh the table field with the field ID 1020. The run

PERFORM-ACTION-TABLE-REFRESH 1020 should get the job done.

Why do you want to refresh something with the database value if the user has
made changes, won't you lose there changes? If nothing has changed then an
apply should merely refresh the entry with any changes.

You will need to enable Plugin log and set to either Finest or All and
make suitable changes for the Unix environment.

Run the arplugin in manual mode.
cmd/navigate to install dir

Before you do the above please make sure you have the path to jvm.dll

If these two are set right you should see the WebService entry in the

Roger:
Are you implementing the web service on top of HPD, CHG, AST..? If yes
I would recommend using an intermediate layer in between; like a temp
table that your external client (.NET web page) has access to.
One time a bug in external (consumer) code generated over 3K entries
in the temp table in a day; all of which were ignored and not pushed
over to the parent Change Control Module. You can build all kinds of
validations on the temp table to restrict parent updates. In our case
the temp table doubles up for the Change Asset modules. Get
GetList methods can also be implemented on the same temp table
provided the output mapping is a small set of fields.

Is there a way to perform a mass update of user record permissions on the

performed a mass update successfully on of people records.

I have tried to simply run an escalation but it failed to update all the

7.5 architect based on system resources

2009-09-24 Thread Wangsameteegoon, Thitiwat CTR JCS DOM
Hi List,

We are planning to do a new install for ARS 7.5 plus the ITSM suite, BMC
Analytic as well Dashboard. This roll out will also include ADDM, Atrium
Discovery and Data Mapping. Based on these lines of products we will only have
three beefed up servers to work with. I was hoping to get some assistance in
deciding on the kind of servers architect that I should setup for these kinds
of environment based on the three servers that we got. We will be on a Window
environment.

I am thinking about having ARS 7.5/ITSM/Analytic/Dashboard as well as the
supported SQL 2005 installed on the same server, midtier on its own server, and
ADDM as well as the support SQL 2005 installed on the same server. Initially I
was thinking of having ARS 7.5/ITSM/Analytic/Dashboard/and Midtier to be on the
same server and have SQL 2005 stand alone, but after communicating with BMC
support they sound like that may not be a good idea. Below are questions that
I have asked them along with their Reponses. Any help or suggestion based on
past experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
***

1. Is it better to setup Midtier on the apps server or put it on other two
boxes I have described? My take is to install in on the apps server, the same
box as ARS System, ITSM, etc.

ANS: It's your call where to install the MidTier, but as a rule it is better
not to install it on same system as the AR Server.
Some obvious reasons being if you wanted to recycle MT/Webserver, the reboot
would mean bringing down AR Server.
And you'll need more memory.

2. Is there any gotcha or things that I need to be aware of if I plan to
install Midter on the same system as the ARS Server?

Answer: One I can think of is: If applying a new patch to Mid Tier (and not AR
Server) becomes necessary..-- you'll have to worry/make sure the PATH or
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable points to the right spot, for Mid-tier libraries.

3. The recommendation of the SDK version that I should use?

Answer: Our compatibility matrix states: You need 32 bit version of JDK
1.5.0_12 or higher.

4. Email will also required JRE, will installing SDK conflict with it?

Answer: Yes, that's a concern. You'll have to worry about JRE and JDK if you
have MT on same box as AR Server.

So in a nutshell, It's better to install MT on a different box. Let me know if
that helps.

Re: Updating Permission Groups for Users in 7.1

2009-09-24 Thread Coleman, Gavin
Hi Abdul - are you talking about ITSM? If you are, then I did this recently in
ITSP. The method should be similar for ITSM.

1. Add the relevant permission group to one user

2. Open up the form CTM:People Permission Groups and search for that user
ID

3. Export that permission group to a .csv file

4. Update the .csv file to include the login IDs and Person IDs of the
4000 people that need this group

5. Import the data into the CTM:People Permission Groups using the Remedy
Import tool

6. Open up the form CTM:People Permission Groups in Default Administrator
View

7. Search for the 4000 records you have imported

8. Do a Modify All on the 4000 records and update the field z1d Action to
START

The actual steps may be slightly different for ITSM, but I don't think they'd
be that different. I'm sure somebody else on the list will correct me if I'm
wrong!

Ok...that's allot...but I'll see if I can make some recommendations that
make sense. I would put it this way

Box1: DB
Box2: ARS
Box3: Web Stuff

So ITSM is an app in ARS...so it would go in 2 of course...I'm not familiar
with Analytic or it's resource needs, but I would put it on 2 or 3,
depending on it's resource needs. I would recommend putting the DB on it's
own server as DB's tend to be heavy

That's about as far as I can go without more in depth knowledge of the
tools. BTW...I run App/Mid-Tier on the same box all the timeto avoid
the problems listed below I always keep App/Mid-Tier on the same patch
level...if I patch one I always patch the other. And in regard to the java
portion...I just use the jre that comes with the jdk...so one install of a
jdk gives me both and it works well for mid-tier AND app server.

So ITSM is an app in ARS...so it would go in 2 of course...I'm not

I have used escalations to do this in the past, so I'm not sure what tripped
you up on yours.

You might want to consider another approach if all 4,000 users are in a
particular company or access group in ITSM. We added our 200,000 customers to
RKM self service simply by adding self service to the group id in RKM for that
customer company. In other words, assign your RKM permissions in RKM, to the
group ids or companies, rather than making any changes to the actual User
records.

Hello ARS listers

Is there a way to perform a mass update of user record permissions on the
people records in 7.1. Currently I have 4000 users that we now want to have KM
rights in which initially they did not have that permission. Has anyone
performed a mass update successfully on of people records.

I have tried to simply run an escalation but it failed to update all the

Additionally, for environments that expose the web to external resources
or for security conscious environments it wouldn't be the best idea to
run the web apps on the same host as the app server and certainly not on
the db server. Typically these environments would be segregated on the
network via vlans or what have you, much as you would segregate a
production network from a development network. Just a thought.

dde.ini export to Excel with CSV vs TAB

2009-09-24 Thread Ivan Runions
I use the typical dde.ini file where the export to excel is done with
Format=TAB.

However large text fields (like Incident Notes) sometimes have embedded
tabs, and this mucks up the columns in excel.

If I do an 'export to file' with a CSV format, then open the file in
Excel: things work fine.

I tried a simple change to the dde.ini and put in Format=CSV but I
just got the entire csv file dumped into the first column.

Any advice on how to use CSV instead of TAB in the dde.ini (or other
advice on how to make the export run cleaner)?

thanks

Re: 7.5 architect based on system resources

2009-09-24 Thread strauss
Remember that ADDM needs its own SQL Server, using case sensitive collation
instead of the normal (default) case insensitive collation that is preferred
for the ARSystem database. We have both the SQL Server and the ADDM server on
one box, and it registers some serious CPU activity when a scheduled scan kicks
off.

We evaluated Analytics and Dashboards last spring, and Analytics is going to
want its own SQL Server db, although it could be shared in the same instance or
a different instance of SQL Server on the db server you use for AR System. We
found that you couldn't/shouldn't put any of the mid-tier, Analytics, or
Dashboards web servers on the same server with each other; in particular,
Analytics and mid-tier would not cohabit.

If I had to do it all on three boxes, I would expect that separating the web
components is the most problematic aspect:

1. AR System/AtriumCore/ITSM, Mid-Tier, Flashboards
2. SQL Server for AR System, Analytics, and the Analytics server which includes
BOXI server
3. SQL Server for ADDM, ADDM, and Dashboards (which points at the ARSystem db)

If you decide to install the web services for AtriumCore 7.5, that needs to be
separate from the AR/ITSM server (requires Java 1.6) and you might have
problems finding a home for that on the other two boxes. ADDM requires Java
1.4.2_13 for its console (that's a whole 'nother topic).

The ideal would be to spin off all of the web servers to 3 separate servers or
VMs (4 with AtriumCore web services) for security and maintenance reasons. I
have found that it is next to impossible to upgrade any one BMC web component
without disrupting any other that shares the same web server, unless you run
them on separate instances of tomcat with non-standard ports.

2009-09-24 Thread Wangsameteegoon, Thitiwat CTR JCS DOM
Thanks David and all,

Here is some backgrounds, I am being brought here to do their initial
roll out of Remedy 7.5 and with all these products line up, the best
things that I could do is to convince them of the hardware requirements
that I need. However, it got shot down pretty quick and I would really
have only three servers to work with, the specs would roughly be two
quad processor at the minimum of 4 GHz, = 8 GB of memory. Their
current Remedy system, ARS 7.1/ITSM 6.0/Midtier/and SQL are all being
hosted on the same box, yes only one server. Here I am coming in
requesting for three + 2 for our dev environment.

Having said that I still have the time to beef up the specs of these
three servers as however I like to in order to support what we have. SO
if anyone have any suggestion as to the minimum requrement for memory
and CPU I would appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Even if the move is toward web, DB is still going to be heavy, and
regardless of where the client resides (native or web), it goes through
app, so app still needs plenty of head room, especially with ITSM.I
think dashboard and Mid-Tier will be good roommates on the same box, so
based on that list...the only unknown to me is Analytics...I'm leaning

Ok...that's allot...but I'll see if I can make some recommendations that
make sense. I would put it this way

Box1: DB
Box2: ARS
Box3: Web Stuff

So ITSM is an app in ARS...so it would go in 2 of course...I'm not
familiar with Analytic or it's resource needs, but I would put it on 2
or 3, depending on it's resource needs. I would recommend putting the
DB on it's own server as DB's tend to be heavy

That's about as far as I can go without more in depth knowledge of the
tools. BTW...I run App/Mid-Tier on the same box all the timeto
avoid the problems listed below I always keep App/Mid-Tier on the same
patch level...if I patch one I always patch the other. And in regard to
the java portion...I just use the jre that comes with the jdk...so one
install of a jdk gives me both and it works well for mid-tier AND app
server.

Subject: Re: 7.5 architect based on system resources

Remember that ADDM needs its own SQL Server, using case sensitive
collation instead of the normal (default) case insensitive collation
that is preferred for the ARSystem database. We have both the SQL
Server and the ADDM server on one box, and it registers some serious CPU
activity when a scheduled scan kicks off.

We evaluated Analytics and Dashboards last spring, and Analytics is
going to want its own SQL Server db, although it could be shared in the
same instance or a different instance of SQL Server on the db server you
use for AR System. We found that you couldn't/shouldn't put any of the
mid-tier, Analytics, or Dashboards web servers on the same server with
each other; in particular, Analytics and mid-tier would not cohabit.

If I had to do it all on three boxes, I would expect that separating the
web components is the most problematic aspect:

1. AR System/AtriumCore/ITSM, Mid-Tier, Flashboards 2. SQL Server for AR
System, Analytics, and the Analytics server which includes BOXI server
3. SQL Server for ADDM, ADDM, and Dashboards (which points at the
ARSystem db)

If you decide to install the web services for AtriumCore 7.5, that needs
to be separate from the AR/ITSM server (requires Java 1.6) and you might
have problems finding a home for that on the other two boxes. ADDM
requires Java 1.4.2_13 for its console (that's a whole 'nother topic).

The ideal would be to spin off all of the web servers to 3 separate
servers or VMs (4 with AtriumCore web services) for security and
maintenance reasons. I have found that it is next to impossible to
upgrade any one BMC web component without disrupting any other that
shares the same web server, unless you run them on separate instances of
tomcat with non-standard ports.

 Hi List,

We are planning to do a new install for ARS 7.5 plus the ITSM suite,
BMC Analytic as well Dashboard. This roll out will also include ADDM,

Atrium Discovery and Data Mapping. Based on these lines of products
we will only have three beefed up servers to work with. I was hoping
to get some assistance in deciding on the kind of servers architect
that I should setup for these kinds of environment based on the three
servers that we got. We will be on a Window environment.

I am thinking about having ARS 7.5/ITSM/Analytic/Dashboard as well as
the supported SQL 2005 installed on the same server, midtier on its
own server, and ADDM as well as the support SQL 2005 installed on the
same server. Initially I was thinking of having ARS
7.5/ITSM/Analytic/Dashboard/and Midtier to be on the same server and
have SQL 2005 stand alone, but after communicating with BMC support
they sound like that may not be a good idea. Below are questions that

I have asked them along with their Reponses. Any help or suggestion
based on past experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
 ***

 1. Is it better to setup Midtier on the apps server or put it on other

two boxes I have described? My take is to install in on the apps
server, the same box as ARS System, ITSM, etc.

ANS: It's your call where to install the MidTier, but as a rule it is
better not to install it on same system as the AR Server.
Some obvious reasons being if you wanted to recycle MT/Webserver, the
reboot would mean bringing down AR Server.
 And you'll need more memory.

 2. Is there any gotcha or things that I need to be aware of if I plan
to install Midter on the same system as the ARS Server?

Answer: One I can think of is: If applying a new patch to Mid Tier
(and not AR Server) becomes necessary..-- you'll have to
worry/make sure the PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable points to the
 right spot, for Mid-tier libraries.

 3. The recommendation of the SDK version that I should use?

Answer: Our compatibility matrix states: You need 32 bit version of
 JDK
 1.5.0_12 or higher.

 4. Email will also required JRE, will installing SDK conflict with it?

Answer: Yes, that's a concern. You'll have to worry about JRE and JDK
if you have MT on same box as AR Server.

So in a nutshell, It's better to install MT on a different box. Let me

 know if that helps.

Re: 7.5 architect based on system resources

2009-09-24 Thread Lyle Taylor
I would think that three servers should be sufficient for a dev environment.
In that case, I would put MidTier, Apps/AR Server and Analytics all on the same
box. In production I would separate them out more, but for development, that
should be fine. One caveat is that Analytics and MidTier don't play nicely in
the same Tomcat instance. However, you can fairly easily set up a second
instance of Tomcat on the box and put MidTier in one and Analytics on the
other, allowing them to share the same physical server without any issues (at
least that was my experience with 7.1 and BO XIR2). In that case, make sure
each Tomcat instance is listening on different ports (edit the server.xml file
for the second instance and do something like add 100 to each port number you
find), and then you can configure IIS to redirect to the appropriate instance
of Tomcat so that users don't know they're running on different instances. If
you're not comfortable with that, then I would move Analytics to any of the
other hosts. It can share the same database server as the AR server - there's
no need to have a separate instance of SQL server to support it. AR Server and
Analytics will just have separate databases on the same server. I think where
you put the database server in development will depend more on the amount of
memory you have available to you, but I would be inclined to put it on a
different box than the AR Server and friends, because the AR Server, Mid Tier
and Analytics can all use up quite a bit of CPU.

As noted before, if you plan to use the web services portion, you'll need to
put that on a separate server from the AR Server.

Or, what about something liked this:

1) DB Analytics
2) ARS and MidTier
3) AIE, ADDM, Web Services

Both the Analytics and AR Server databases would be in the same SQL Server
instance on the first server. Analytics would be installed with Tomcat on that
server as well. I wouldn't do this in production, but for dev it's probably
fine, and it avoids having to deal with trying to get Analytics to run on the
same box as the Mid Tier.

ARS and MidTier on the same box in development should also be fine. I'm not
aware of any issues besides performance that would matter (that doesn't mean
that there aren't any issues, though - I just haven't encountered any yet).
For development, you don't need stellar performance, just good enough.

AIE (for Atrium Discover) can be very processor intensive, so it's probably
good to throw it off onto another host. In production, I would have a
dedicated AR Server as part of a server group to handle all integration and
back-end processing tasks. In that case, I would also have an AR Server on 3.
Note that reconciliation is also a beast and would further warrant separating
that task from the user-facing AR server (i.e., I wouldn't run recon on server
2 normally - since this is development, it probably doesn't matter).

If there is a conflict between the web services portion of Remedy and ADDM (due
to different Java requirements), then I would move ADDM to a different box and
leave Web Services on 3.

So, this is all based on the idea that this is development. If it were
production, I'd go a different route...

NOBODY here has unrestricted access except admins - that would defeat the
entire purpose of using multi-tenancy for the operational companies (central
and distributed support groups have their own companies). We do use a single,
global customer company for all defined customers, to which all of the support
staff are given access.

Customers all have their membership defined in the global customer company,
added by a filter when their account is created from LDAP, and that is what I
use to give them access to RKM. They also get access to either the student
customer company and/or the employee customer company based on roles in LDAP.
So a single customer record could have permission to UNT Customers (they are
homed there - field 112 on the CTM:People record), UNT Employees, and UNT
Students; student employees get all three.

We don't use Employee or Student to define access in RKM, but we do use them to
define access to various service items in Kinetic Request. In fact, it was the
process of defining permissions for Kinetic Request based on company access and
application permissions that led us to use the same solution for RKM; instead
of adding KMSAC-something permissions manually to all of our support staff's
User records, we simply gave those permissions in RKM to all Incident Users.

SSO with 7.x Mid-Tier

2009-09-24 Thread Ken LaPierre
Hello,

I have an environment where the SSL LDAP authentication is in place on our 3
server grouped ARSystem application servers (Windows 2008). We have 2 Mid-Tier
servers (Windows 2003, IIS 6.0, Tomcat 5.5.27). Both on 7.5 p2.

BMC support has sent me a white paper on how to go about implementing SSO,
but that is the extent of their support on the SSO integration.

I have searched the BMC KB and found 3 articles, which one of them provides
binaries of a possible solution but the instructions on file placement is
lacking.

Anyone either used the KB files and got it working that has a more detailed
implementation guide? OR has come up with a front end solution for the mid-tier
piece?

The goal is to have end users receiving URL links in their email to be able
to click on them and go directly to the incident, change, approval, etc...
without stopping at the login page for credentials. Somehow picking up the
credentials from the workstation OS, or a cookie type of file process.

Thanks,
Ken LaPierre

over to the parent Change Control Module. You can build all kinds of
validations on the temp table to restrict parent updates. In our case
the temp table doubles up for the Change Asset modules. Get
GetList methods can also be implemented on the same temp table
provided the output mapping is a small set of fields.

Subject: Help with exporting an Oracle DB

Thanks,

Sean

WS to query Zip Codes given Address, City, State..

2009-09-24 Thread Joe DeSouza
Has anyone heard of any free (wishful thinking) and yet reliable (even more
wishful thinking) web services for querying a zip code given the Address, City
and State information? I probably need this as a one time query while importing
site information. I was hoping to create a Filter to fire on MERGE to set the
Zip Code field using the Set Fields operation from any such web-service..

I would prefer setting the Zip Code from the Address, City and State
information I have rather than setting it from the data file as I have reasons
to doubt the quality of the data that I have received as I see several
addresses that have two completely different zip codes for the same address..
and they are off by not a single digit or something - way way off.. Probably a
result of modifications done through Excel after the use of a bad bad filter..

The list of sites I have is only about 600, which does not really justify me
asking for buying a web service for one time use, yet I do not see myself
looking up each address and correcting it manually..

I just did a google search for the above but I cannot say I found anything
useful.

You can go to yahoo developer and do this.

http://developer.yahoo.com/maps/rest/V1/geocode.html

1. Get an application ID (Free and easy)

2. Use the following:

http://local.yahooapis.com/MapsService/V1/geocode?appid=YD-9G7bey8_JXxQP
6rxl.fBFGgCdNjoDMACQA--street=701+First+Avecity=Sunnyvalestate=CA

replacing your application ID address.

3. The results will have the zip code if valid address/found
address

I'm not sure about save right now... You could possibly do a Set Fields of

PERFORM-ACTION-SAVE-ATTACHMENT Run Process action to initiate a save to

Mid-Tier issue, single row char fields showing horizontal scroll bar.

2009-09-24 Thread Shyam Attavar
Dear Listers,

We are seeing a really bizzare issue - a few users in our user community are
seeing horizontal scroll bars on character fields that are single row. There is
no need for a horizontal scroll bar (at least that is not how it behaved in the
past). Users having this issue are logging in via thin clients (IE 8
Firefox). This is a very odd behavior and nobody in our team can reproduce this
issue.

Here's the environment details:

Two AR System Mid-Tiers - 7.1.0 patch 6 (on RHEL) sitting behind a Cisco load
balancer
Four AR Servers (in a server group) - 7.1.0 patch 6 (on RHEL) sitting behind a
Cisco load balancer (one server is mostly an admin server, the other three are
in a round robin load balanced configuration).
Four node Oracle RAC in the back end
All connected on a GIGE network.

Anyone else anything remotely to what we are seeing? If so, any of you have any
insight on how you resolved it?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Web Service Get Operation

2009-09-24 Thread Lyle Taylor
That depends on how he's calling the web service in .NET. He's probably
getting back an array, an ArrayList (or something equivalent), or he's working
with the XML directly (less likely). In any of those scenarios, it should be
trivial to determine how many records are returned. An array and an ArrayList
(or equivalent) have properties that will tell you how many records are in the
list. Even if an Enumerator is returned, you don't actually need to know how
many elements are in the list to process them. You just keep looping until the
Enumerator gets to the end of the list.

Find out how he's calling the web service and what data type is being returned
from the web service call. That will help answer the question.

Finally, can someone explain the difference

   Field 1
   Field 2
   Field 3
   Field 4
   Field 5
   Field 6

He
