Sadly, Sable is a dead end. Since it's built in BGT they can't implement scripting, which means you won't be able to customize your gameplay.Sable could potentially flourish if they were willing to open source it, because then people could develop games with their own custom modifications to the Sable engine. Otherwise, it's just a rehash of the Audio Game Maker debacle, for those of us who were around back in 2006.

The computational price of cheat protection in BGT is not insignificant. BGT is already too slow due to the fact that 100 percent of the game logic is written in a scripting language. I think I can safely say that AAC barely gets away with it, especially given the average specs of most PCs back when it was released.

If you leave the area the box resets.Perhaps the guide is off slightly with respect to the count.You just have to line the box up and push it on to the teleporter. It's quite doable simply by ear.You can always trace where a box will end up if you push it in a given direction. For example, if you want to check if a box will get stuck if you push it left, get on the left-hand side of it (so moving right causes you to bump it), then run left and see what you hit. In other words, pretend you're the box and use your body as a crash test dummy. Those puzzles are quit approachable once you get the hang of them.

So no, it's not a company with an office etc etc. Neither is any other audio game developer.After you ordered, a page with your registration info should have popped up, in addition to the email. Either the email went to spam, or your mom may have mistyped it. Either way, Aaron will have a record.If the page with your key on it didn't appear after you placed the order, then the order likely didn't go through. To access spam in Gmail, simply click the 'spam' link. Tip: if you didn't already know this, near the top of the Gmail page is an option called 'Basic HTML'. Pressing this will give you a version of the site which is much easier to use with a screen reader.I hope that helps, and best of luck with this situation. I prefer the second game. More creatures with more diverse movesets, more sophisticated story, challenging boss fights and puzzles, improved core mechanics and better online support just to name a few reasons. I think the first game is still more than worth playing especially for someone new to the series. Manamon 1 also included a door that could never be opened, as well as areas you could not readily return to if at all. These things are pretty standard RPG tropes.

You can't. This is because the plateau doesn't connect to anything except for Springdale Turf.So what you have to do is:Fly to Sulie City,Leave through the west exit (Springdale Turf),Walk through there until you reach the plateau,Now you can fly to Mamia, because you're back in Quinsette.When you're ready to go back to Kiarre, enter the house in the north end of Mamia and talk to Logon to be taken back to the plateau by wagon. Then walk back to Springdale and finally leave via copter.

@Jayde Quarterly maintenance has nothing to do with the game, nor Aaron for that matter. That server is used simultaneously by a number of people for a number of different purposes, and I just happen to be the one who owns and operates it. Aaron and his games are just one of the things it is used for.Every few months software needs to be updated, security certificates need to be renewed, etc etc so things stay in ship shape. I was just letting people know that it would go down, battles could be interrupted, etc.I have neither permission nor the ability to change things such as unknown gifts. I'm just responsible for keeping it healthy.

@Lucas: You couldn't create Manamon, even without the puzzles. That is, unless you were okay with having a static party. From what I gathered from Brandon's live streams, it might be the case that the output would play similarly to A Hero's Call. Every game is going to have basically the exact same gameplay. To avoid that, you need scripting.

I want to be optimistic about this, but sadly I just can't.The Sable devs will be able to make games with it to great effect, because they will be able to add features to Sable as they need them. As for the general public, I just don't see much long term interest in a bunch of games from different authors using the exact same battle system among other limitations.I mean, there were RPG makers on consoles which obviously offered no scripting implements, so maybe there's a certain market for that sort of thing, but those expecting this product to trigger a revolution in audio games should prepare to be disappointed.

Sable really needs to add scripting support, otherwise it will quickly suffer the fate of Audio Game Maker. Just my humble opinion. Game authoring tool that requires no coding = great. Game authoring tool which allows no coding = cookie cutter.If they added the ability to script new building blocks which the community could share with each other, that would make for an extremely powerful tool that could still be used by someone with no coding experience to great effect. Without it, I don't see how you can create a game that doesn't feel like a copy of the one before it.I really hope they decide to throw in Lua or something.

If you're serious about making a game, put that thirty bucks towards someone who might be willing to give you some tutoring in code. I personally wouldn't mind doing this, as long as you're serious about learning it.Unless your game is really small (like an old Dark Destroyer style space invaders clone) you're going to have a hard time finding someone to fulfill this request. COVID-19 increases your odds a little (since a lot of people are stuck at home looking for things to do), but the only way it's going to work out for you under this model is if the person who helps you strongly believes in your idea (and you basically give them the rights to your game after they create it).The other problem you'll have is fixing problems after release, which will inevitably come up. You won't be able to troubleshoot them yourself, and whomever created it for you will have moved on with their life and won't be able to help you anymore.So I'd like to extend to you what will likely be the best offer you will get under these conditions. If you seriously want to do this, which involves learning to code, you may send me an email. I can't teach you everything, but I can get you to the point where the instructional material you read online will make sense. That is if you are willing to make a time commitment to learning and practice on your own.

You have to walk an unknown distance and then gain a single level.I did it by walking clear cross-country and then back (without taking shortcuts like the ship to shadow canyon). I don't know how much overkill that is but it worked for me.Use encounter downs and you'll be done in under an hour.

It has nothing to do with this.If you have found the hidden resurrection item along the top wall of the holding area, defeated protector and then returned to heaven and recruited Stella there should be nothing stopping you from continuing on post game.Also, though I don't remember what it unlocks... if you haven't done so already go defeat the Analytics manager.If you still can't proceed then you are dealing with an obscure bug and you should probably consider sending Aaron a message about it.

It's going to be tough.You're going to have to use a walkthrough guide from IGN or similar to know where to go and what items you can collect.You'll have to do a lot of grid searching (as in go all the way up while tapping A, take a step right or left, go down all the way while tapping A) to find items.If it is still possible to download Pokegen or Pokesave, those are really helpful tools for reviewing your inventory. They're meant for cheating of course (by editing your save file), but I always used them just to show me an accessible list of my items and in what order they appear.Every now and then you'll come across an area that you just can't get through without sighted help. If you do find someone to help you, have them right down instructions in the form of step counts so you can get through those parts if you ever have to again.I haven't played HG/SS much, but in most of these older Pokemon games I'd say you can get through 90 percent of the areas with just an online guide.It's doable but you're going to need some patience. This is much harder than what you're used to with Crystal Access or Manamon.

The licenses you are looking at are for Youtube creators and such, not commercial computer games.I obviously cannot reveal the exact number, but suffice it to say that if you were the next contestant on the Price is Right, you'd want to be guessing a four figure value for a custom license that would cover this type of project.So yeah... everybody's off by at least an order of magnitude.@OP No, you can't extract audio assets from anybody's game. If you do, you definitely can't use them for anything other than personal enjoyment.

I can't help but laugh at the shier number of Youtubers who seem to have nothing better to get riled up over than the possibility of Random Joe Shmuck choosing to beet the Last of Us II using accessibility features that they don't need.Isn't there... ya know... a poorly managed Pandemic, global upheaval over racial injustice and a hole crap ton of other things to foam at the mouth over?Cmon internet, it's a freaking single player game for Christ's sake, not some sacred right of passage into eternal gamer heaven.Speaking of people who need to get a life. I've spent way too much time writing this. I really need to take my own advice.

If you had an actual account on my cloud server and I shared the folder with you, then it would auto sync. Since you're just downloading files, there's no way auto sync is possible as there's no software at your end querying the server for new parts.Sorry for no new parts in the past week or so. @Socheat thanks, and your assessment is true.Thing is, Paladin (or some variant thereof) has existed for nearly six years now. Unique story which I've eluted to aside, it was the only audio game I was playing until 2016 when Manamon came out. Coupled with the simplistic mechanics as compared to Manamon and you have a recipe for mastery.I don't have the time nor patience nor desire to master the ins and outs of every creature, and I feel that's a good thing as in the long run it would detract from the experience. I can still spend 30 hours on a Manamon II run and experience unexpected challenges and situations due to lack of knowledge, and that's more fun than being able to outclass people in competitive play or instinctively remember every tamer's team and be prepared with exactly the right creature and move for every situation.I love speed runs and demonstrations of mastery, but mastering a game on that level ruins casual enjoyment in the long run, and there aren't enough games in our little bubble for me to justify doing that.

I have no idea if that would work or if it wouldn't, as I didn't write the code. I don't know whether registration is Windows user specific or global.As far as the server is concerned, two purchases = two accounts, and there would be nothing to stop both licenses from being accessed from the same location.You might need to run one instance in a virtual machine though.To be honest, the single session rule has more to do with piracy and less to do with self trading, it just happens to kill two birds with one stone.

@Computergamer:In Manamon II, select online trading or online battles. Then select host room and type the name of the room you want to create. Press enter. Now, leave the game opened and give your room name to whomever you want to play with (over Skype/ Discord/ this forum etc). When they join it will say "John has joined" for example.Alternatively, if someone else has given you their room name, pick join room and type the name of the room you've been given.As for Stella, if you're getting to three beeps then you're more than halfway there. They get more and more powerful as you go, so even though it says she has 50 percent health remaining doesn't mean you're half way through in terms of rounds.

Due in part to Power Up With Pride and today being the first day of loosened Covid-19 restrictions allowing me to leave home for the first time since March, I have made no progress yesterday or today.I may resume recording tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday at the latest.I completed all of the music games as soon as I unlocked them.I can do a casual arcade session after the main game is complete. It's a part of the game I haven't put too much energy into.If I can find the High Low disk in the catacombs, it might prove to still be one of the fastest ways of farming credits. It was in the first game anyway.

This is my Water Temple, if you get my drift.I would wager a bet that if Paladin were natively ported to a Unix environment, Dragon Strike as implemented would go from problematic for some to laughably easy for most.Windows just sucks that bad. I mean... we have timed hits in Super Mario RPG, Legend of Dragoon and Shenmue to name a few, and some are even more stringent when it comes to timing. The difference is that they run on hardware/ software stacks which actually boast quality, so if the game intends to give you 250MS to react then you actually get 250MS, not some random amount between 0 and 250.I doubt that the mechanic will come back especially now that Aaron has built a highly capable RPG infrastructure which can support far more modern combat styles.

My Manamon II play through now covers up to the end of Mamia, as well as exploring new areas made available by swimming.@Computergamer the only thing I can suggest is to make sure you're at a good enough level to afford a number of missed shots.If ross is level 45 plus with 500 plus HP then you can go approximately 30 rounds before you die, meaning you can afford nearly 20 misses.The first few rounds only require one beep, then two, then three, and the last one requires four.Be calm, keep your finger on the key and perhaps pull your chair a little closer to your desk or whatever your computer is on?You might consider trying different dragon strike keys, I use left alt myself. If you're running NVDA for instance, I don't know this for sure but it could be intercepting down arrow before passing it on to the game, introducing latency.Are you running the game through Virtual Audio Cable or some other exotic setup?If none of the above, you might just have to level Ross a bit more in order to mitigate the difficulty of the fight.Dragon Strike is a nifty idea in theory, but it would work much better in practice on a game console or anything not Windows based. Windows is such low quality software (including it's so called low latency audio APIs) that it makes way for these kinds of problems.

As I've stated before I don't think that the sticky is a good solution. Most of the time we skip over them. I believe a dedicated room for these kinds of threads would be better.As it currently stands if I wanted to select someone to buy a game for right now I would have one hell of a tracking nightmare on my hands.A better implementation imho would be a dedicated subforum with a structured request/ response cycle. Person A makes a request, person B responds, threads are concise and closed when requests are fulfilled.

Thanks for the encouragement.As for the zip files... it's a feature of the Nextcloud system but it's not a good implementation imo. I'm not surprised people are having trouble with it.I'll have to move this stuff to some place more permanent once I'm finished them. Yep, I see that. You were timing out. I have increased the time limit so you should be able to download that zip file now.If you have a slow internet connection it would be advisable to download the files individually as there still has to be some kind of time limit. I have increased it to one hour.I will probably change the links at some point as they're currently being hosted from my Nextcloud server, which is what is imposing the time limits. It's convenient to keep it that way while I'm still working on these as it uploads them automatically.Speaking of which, I have uploaded parts 11 through 14. There are some grind heavy parts beyond second stadium as I added two new mons to my team. However, I have little interest in using guides/ walkthroughs myself (I have not used Jayde's Manamon guide for instance). The reason is that my taste in gaming is limited (to RPGs and story driven action/ adventure), of which there are few available. I would rather be able to come back to a game again and again knowing there is probably something I have yet to discover as opposed to coming back a second time knowing it won't be much different to the first. I have a history of completing video games (from Pokemon to Zelda), made possible only by online guides and even specially written step counting scripts. So until we reach a point where accessible video games are ubiquitous, I simply have no interest in squandering rare opportunities to master games through independent exploration and raw determination.Once again, I am in no way minimizing the hard work you put into that document, and no doubt I will miss a strong herb here and there.

@Jayde nice run so far. And yes, definitely more than one way to skin a cat. It's nice to see that even in a game that is simplistic as compared to its successors, there is still room for differences in play style.As for speed run times, while I don't know about hard, it is possible to achieve sub one hour organ room, sub two hours heaven and close to if not a sub six completion time. Early on it involves Strats like allowing the expert kidnapper to bring Ross's health as low as possible before finishing him off (so you can death warp out of there quickly), exploiting Cecil's low health to death warp out of the sanctuary after the organ room and using a few level up herbs at certain times (the first being before the comedian fight). You don't have the die from Lori's cabin, and you need to do some serious praying to RNJesus for clustered placement of lower chamber three key fragments. Galactic dusts are also key, and you need to leave the infinite matrix after Infected Crewelclaw to go kill Null Virus with Gabriel in order to make Shauna strong enough to take down Pierre.If everything goes well (and that's a big if), you can make a time of sub six hours (possibly even 5:30). Add the use of screen reader to skip unskippable text and surely you can cut another hour off. If this were a video game with a dedicated speed run community, I would wager a guess that sub five if not sub 4:30 could be achieved.As for Manamon 2, I would like to do something but I don't know for how long the restriction on testers sharing information is applicable. I will ask if there are still objections. I doubt I possess any knowledge that isn't readily available, in fact the community found stuff that I never found (one example being the chemistry table in Oghma's basement). It would definitely be done at a more relaxed pace than this Paladin play through was, and could not be considered as exhaustive in terms of item collecting.

Embodiment of righteousness yeah, because it allows me to beet Analytics without having to invest too much extra time in Kelly's levels.I don't know Lucy/ Simons stuff other than Final Oblivion because I don't use that character for anything other than a few quick knife kills.I know a couple of Cecil's moves (Demon's Gift and Unending Curse), the former allows me to beet the sanctuary with Cecil's low health and the latter for Tower of Truth. Other than that I don't know the rest of his spells.For whatever reason, I seem to be able to recall them even after months of not playing the game.

I can competently complete the game from start to finish, however I cannot expertly describe the strengths and weaknesses of several hundred creatures. Yeah, there are much faster ways of earning 50K experience that don't involve a five minute walk, a long and drawn out boss fight and several minutes of credits.One of witch is just to fight ten or so enemies in post game. Another is to transfer money to Stella and buy level up herbs at half price.Yeah, Lucy/ Simon are given Final Oblivion only to have its benefit entirely mitigated by bosses who can inflict mass damage to him alone. Say what you will about this from a game design standpoint, but Shauna is better anyway. Sure, she might not be able to do quite as much damage as Simon would, but her final spell is very powerful combined with the ability to boost her stats to the point of being virtually indestructible without much effort.

I would have been more than cool with doing hard if I thought it would contribute anything to the listening experience. It doesn't, in fact it probably detracts to some extent.The challenge of this game is really about mastery. Mastery of scrolls, mastery of your characters' individual strengths and weaknesses, mastery of your environment. If you know where all of the hidden Easter eggs are and you know your characters and scrolls well, then the game rewards you in that you really never have to spend time grinding. The hard mode doesn't really make the game more challenging per se, it just makes you spend more time levelling. There is a skill ceiling, and beyond that you are either strong enough to win a fight or you're not. So I guess I feel that the hard mode wasn't really necessary to include and largely doesn't work given the game's mechanics.AT any rate, I have uploaded the first four parts which take you up to the end of the church sanctuary. Update:I got started on recording a play through this afternoon, but after getting a short ways in I decided to start over on normal.The reason is that hard mode just makes you spend a lot of time grinding, and to be honest it would be less interesting to listen to as I would have to keep at least a five level lead on what I would need on normal difficulty just to keep the fights mathematically winnable.

If you do have it it would be great if you could upload it, I’m somewhat of a hoarder when it comes to these things.If I remember correctly I somehow lost my save file back when I was doing that.I mean, this is the age of quarantine, so I could always do it again especially since there is no guide for this game.

Start by going down the stairs on wing 1 to the lower chamber.Find the door you previously unlocked with the key fragments and go through that.Follow the path to the next door which is the holding area.In that room, search the top wall for a hidden item amongst a collection of potions. Be prepared for a tough fight when you do find it.After the boss battle, go to the church sanctuary and make your way all the way to the organ room on floor 3.Set Ross as your party lead and play the organ to be transported to heaven.Go to Stella's house and talk with her to revive her. Now take the teleport in her house back to the organ room.To get back out of the sanctuary quickly, switch your party lead to Stella and get into a fight. Just defend a couple of times to die on purpose.

This is because frankly Microsoft is an awful email provider who hates private email servers.If you are ordering something from any website using one of these email addresses, check your spam and most importantly, do the website a small favour and take a second to mark the message as not spam. In theory it will help Microsoft, Google etc's arbitrary algorithms to associate the emails with legitimate activity as opposed to spam.

I'll take a crack at some of these:1: why fighting and insect can hit shadow.Shadow is not the same as ghost. Shadow is the same thing basically as dark in Pokemon. That is to say, dark (of heart), or evil. Not ghostly. Standard and fighting can't hit ghost, because you can't reach out and punch or kick or grab and throw a ghost. That said, a lot of other types wouldn't be able to hit ghosts from a purely logical standpoint, but that would make ghost way too powerful from a game design prospective if the better half of the other types couldn't permeate it.2: why magic did not effect undeadThis I don't know. If there's logic to this someone with more familiarity with such topics as mythology could probably answer this more accurately than I can.3: why stone can hit air?If you were trying to survive in the woods and didn't have a gun or a bow, what other implement might you use to shoot down a bird for your meal? How about a slingshot? What kind of projectile might you shoot from a slingshot? A stone, most likely. Also, have you ever heard the saying kill two birds with one stone?4: why insect can hurt magic?Not sure on this one. However, despite the size and perceived insignificance of insects, they can do some pretty surprising things. Plus, any decision involving magic is somewhat arbitrary due to their being, ya know, no real world logic based precedent.5: why poison can hurt shadow?If you were evil, would that make you immune to poison?6: why magic can hurt electric?Because the power of magic is objectively superior to the power of electricity.7: why steel can hit magic?Not sure. Again, perhaps a mythology based answer exists. More generally, too many immunities would create a seriously imbalanced gameplay experience.and the final question: what atack sounds in manamon 1 that you like?The soundscape whilst standing next to the cliffs on San Cott beach. The relaxing strings, ocean waves and seagulls make for a fantastic backdrop given what's going on plot wise at that stage of the game.
