Well except for the 1 wood. That is only for off of the tee, but the 2, 3 and 4 wood can be used in the fairway. Below is the hints from the golf.txt file. I hope that they might help. If you have any other specific questions, please ask and I will try to help. Golf Hints. The object of golf is to get the ball into the hole. On most of the holes you will want to start at the tee using your 1 wood so that you can drive the ball about 300 yards. Of course you don't want to do that on say the holes that are like 147 yards. But after you drive the ball off of the tee your next goal is to get the ball onto the green using one of your other clubs. Most likely an iron. Once on the green it will tell you how many feet you are from the pin which is the flag pole that is stuck in the hole. Now all you have to do is hit the ball with the correct amount of power to get the ball into the hole. Oh yeah you want to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible. Par or less is the goal. A birdie is one less than par. An eagle is two less than par and a double eagle is three less than par. A hole in one is always a good thing. A boggy is one over par and a double boggy is two over par. The game of golf takes lots of practice and knowing which club to use for each shot. Putting of course takes lots of practice. Here is a list of which club I use depending on how far it is to the green. With the exception of the pitching wedge I go pretty much for maximum power with each club. less than 100 yards = pitching wedge. less than 125 yards 9 iron. less than 140 yards 8 iron. less than 155 yards 7 iron. less than 175 yards 6 iron. less than 190 yards 5 iron less than 205 yards 4 iron. less than 220 yards 3 iron. less than 235 yards 2 iron. less than 250 yards 1 iron. the 1 wood will get me about 300 yards and the 4 wood about 260 yards. Adding sounds to the game. You can add your own ambient sounds to the golf game. They will be the sounds that are randomly played on the golf course when you do not press a key for awhile. All you need to do is put wave files in this folder. The wave files will need to start with the 3 letters amb and have a .wav extension. Do not replace the existing wave files named amb1.wav through amb37.wav. I recommend you name the wave files with the standard dos file name format. I E no more than 8 letters followed by the extension .wav I also recommend that you use 8 bit wave files with the sample rate of 11025. Hi all I've now given this a little go and must say the writing is very good. The interface also is different from some of the traditional if styles but extremely easy to work on. The story is interesting, just wish I knew how to have JFW infer the keywords in the game. I'm quite liking it. [Audyssey] pokemon online RPG?
Hi So, here I am, I started playing this game at: http://tppcrpg.net/ Its quite rediculous, really. For anyone that knows anything about pokemon, level 4 pokemon, no matter what kind, cannot learn hyper beam. I mean yeah if your crazy enough to use a tm on one. So, my charmander kept getting demolished by these pokemon using crazy attacks. Not to mention, how exactly are you supposed to battle and make money, and catch pokemon and what not? How do you get to each town? Those are just a few of my questions. Someone said this game was great - it is to a point until the novelty wears off and it gets so confusing that I had to wait a few hours before I tried again. So you register, pick your starter pokemon. There is no help at all to be found here. I can battle a trainer, yay. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, it says a wild pokemon appears! So, I start fighting. This pokemon is level 4, the same as mine. It uses icebeam. Seriously...it can use ice beam, flame thrower, surf, and tackle. Hows that for randomness? Then, I look at my pokemons attacks. Know what it had? Flamethrower, watergun, tackle, and scratch! That's when I gave up on it. hmm I know items reprisent the buttons but what is the sequence. I have tried them in order and in order the other way, do I actually have to find said item before I know the sequence? Hi I do think that you need to find a spacific item before getting the proper sequence. a slight helper is the compass. Also there is a hidden pool that is worth looking around. Hi. there are some instructions for entombed, see http://wiki.blind-games.com/ for the ongoing instructions wiki, especially see the list of in game keys and the section on navigation. As a quick starter though, you walk around the dungeon (who's map is randomly generated), by using the arrow keys. The sound of the wind will let you know what directions you can move in, so the high pitched wind is north, the lower south, and the left and right west and west. A creaking sound means a door is close by which you can move through, a squelch means you've steped on a corpse lying on the floor, and a clink indicates items. make frequent use of the X key to examine the area and items. Intermitantly, you will run into battles. use the menues with the enter key to activate. Again, the X key is your friend. You can get to the character menue with C, the inventory menye with I and the equip menue with E. Its not really an rpg per say, just a competition game to see who can build the best team. But its still pretty fun for what its worth. Hi all, I am wondering if someone can help with this game? I understand everything about this except for the most important thing, how to get or even hear the chests? I am assuming that when I get too close to cliffs or something like that if I go too far to the left or right the alarm buzzer lets me know? [Audyssey] SecondLife help?
Hello. I've managed to create a second life account. I've also got the textSL software working. I can log on to the sim, but cannot seem to do much else. There are supposed to be paths, and places to teleport to, but when I try I get the message that says cannot teleport there. I also can't seem to locate the paths to the places in virtual ability. I'm not even able to find available servers. How do I access a list of the servers? Is the 0.9.7 upgrade necessary for this? The official version on the site only goes to 0.9.6. Its possible that in the most recent version they've messed with the combat screen and made it more immage than text. In which case it would be inaccessible. But I'd have to check it out. [Audyssey] dark room and programming for Wiimotes
I see that Darkroom is programmed in Java and that the code is open source. How hard is programming in Java, and does anyone know about Eclipse, and whether or not the libraries and plug-ins are accessible? If so, it would give me a good foundation for programming a Wii-based game as VB6 isn't going to support bluetooth stacks--to my knowlege anyway. I looked at VB.net express and it was a maze of confusion from the get-go, so I'm looking again at new programming languages to learn, and I thought that this might be a good start as there is code relating to the use of the Wiimotes.
