[Audyssey] Rubix cube?

2015-08-14 Thread ann
A friend just bought me a tactile rubik's cube. It's been literally
years since I've played with one of these things. I never was able to
solve it even years ago, but I used to be able to get a couple of sides
worked. Anyone got any tips on solving it? This is the cube marked with
tactile shapes and not actual braille letters.

Thanks,
~Ann

 Hi,

I'm considering purchasing an iPod Touch at some point. I've heard demos of
games like Aurifi and Papa Sangre, which sound very good, but am curious as

Re: [Audyssey] Stemstumper

Hi Lori,

Sometimes, things have to be tapped in a certain order. For example, you
might have to clear all or some of the Acorns from a certain side of the
screen before you can reach/activate other items.

Just keep playing with it, and trying different patterns.

I love the game. It works great on my iPod Touch 4TH Generation. I wish
there was more documentation for it, though.

[Audyssey] Release of BG Brainiac 1.0

2010-10-22 Thread Ann

Please send me this game.

Name: Ann Tate
Country: US

Hi,
This is Ian Humphreys from Spoonbill Software. You are receiving this
email because you have previously ordered a blind accessible game.

This is to announce the release of the seventeenth game in the Blind
Gamers series, BG Brainiac.

BG Brainiac is Spoonbill Software's version of a game you may know as
Concentration. It is blind accessible but graphics allow sighted
players to also play along with blind players. Each player can choose
to either use the keyboard or the mouse.

At the start of the game, all the tiles are face down on the table.
Players take it in turn to turn up two tiles, trying to turn up two
whose pictures match. If the pictures match, the two tiles are removed
from the table and the player gets another turn. If they do not match,
the tiles are turned face down again and the next player turns up two
tiles. The player with the most matches when the table has been
cleared is declared the winner.

If you can't find someone else to challenge you, you can always play a
single player game, attempting to beat your previous highest score.
The single player game uses an innovative scoring system which rewards
multiple successive matches. So the better your memory, the higher
your score will be.

It is a game of memory and concentration, so put on your thinking caps
and exercise your brain with BG Brainiac!

As with all Spoonbill Software's Blind Gamers games, it is
self-voicing, obviating the need to use your screen reader.

If you would like a copy, reply to this email requesting BG Brainiac
and I'll send you the download link.

If you would prefer not to receive notification of new or upgraded
games, just ask to be removed from my mailing list.

[Audyssey] Please don't force BGT topics from this list was Re: PLEASE STOP

2010-03-25 Thread Ann

hello everyone,

I, for one, would not like to see the topics about the new BGT tool and
how to use it forced off of this list. I am not a programmer, nor will I
ever be a computer programmer. But, I am a game player and am very
interested in this tool which may allow those of us who have no interest
in becoming computer programmers the ability to create games.

I know that statement in and of itself will enrage some people on this
list, the statement about my having no interest in actual computer
programming, I mean..

I see nothing wrong with discussions about this topic being kept on the
list. I do not want to have to join a computer programming list, where
ninety-nine percent of the topics will be way over my head, nor do I
want to have to join and remember to visit some web forum to learn more
about his tool exclusively.

. If you don't want to read about it, then for Heaven Sake, just don't
open the emails and read them. Hit the Delete key on any with BGT in
the subject line. That won't eliminate all of the BGT mail, but it will
get a good many of them. I'm sure all of us on this list routinely run
across many messages which hold no interest for us, but we deal with it.

Please, list mods, don't let the complaints of a very few control this
list. It is an emailing list, after all, and a spike in traffic once in
a while is to be expected, especially accompanying the release of a
wonderful new game tool. Once the tool has been around for a while, the
email traffic will slow down yet again.

2010-03-24 Thread Ann

Hi,

I know about all the legal consequences in developing these types of
games, So, please don't anyone bombard the game list by repeating them a
lot.

I am not advocating piracy. But, all I want to say is that it is so
unfair! The sighted have literally tons of different Star Wars, Star
Trek, even Stargate and probably hundreds if not thousands of other
games, computer and console, based on popular TV shows, movies, etc.
But, we have almost none. We are huge fans of these types of shows too,
but most blind game developers just could never afford the licensing
fees to get passed all the legal mumbo jumbo.

If you do decide to try making them, Josh, I'll try out any of your free
games. You might not want to advertise them on this list, though.

[Audyssey] seeking very basic chess instructions

Hi folks,

I'm trying to get bakc in to playing chess after being away from it for
quite some time. Is there somewhere I can download a very, very basic chess
manual or instructions. I'm not looking for fancy strategies at this point,
just something in plain English that I can quickly use to remind myself of
basic chess moves, which pieces can move which ways, etc.

Also, is there anywhere, and with any program preferably free or an extremly
low cost, that a totally blind person can play chess online with others?

Thanks.

Do you have an adapted chess set for blind people to use, rather than
having to use speech to explore a chess board during the game?

I can also help you, probably one on one, as to which pieces move where and
the basic rules of the game. Or, there is a totally free correspondence
course, either on audio cassettes or in braille, available from the Hadley

complete the course, including a very nice adapted chess set.

 Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] Monster Breeder Stuff

2009-06-29 Thread Ann Tate
Hi,

I've really been enjoying this Monster Breeders game, and it's wonderful that
the developer is so open to accessibility.

I've been having one problem, though, and I'm not sure if it's just me being
a total game newbie, I just signed up late last night, or has something to
do with my Firefox and/or JFW version. But, when I go to Upgrade, spend some
SRP to enhance things for my monster, I can't seem to do it. I press Enter
on the links that say Raise Strenght Raise Stamina and so on, but
nothing seems to happen. Anyone have any ideeas here? I'm told in game that
hae enough SRP to upgrade, so that's not the problem.

Thanks.

Also, I do approve of the fact that the game is everything whic I wanted

For those interested in monster breeders, here's an email I just got from
the dev today. He's definitely willing to go the extra mile it seems to
allow us to play his game, and to me, that's awesome.

Hey Dragon, glad to see you're still with us. About the quest
coordinates - I completely forgot! I'm so sorry, I feel so insensitive.
I've put it on my (very small) to-do list today and you can go to the
top of the page while exploring to see it, but only if you have blind
support on. Pretty much I don't want to spoil everything for everyone,
but obviously I can make an exception for the blind.

I'm going to put some alt texts on the skills.

[Audyssey] Legend of the Red Dragon BBS again

2009-04-20 Thread Ann

Hi folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know that my favorite BBS, surprisingly,
is still up and running. The games there, and there are close to ten
different L.O.R.D. games, are set to adult mode, though.

Anyway, if anyone wants to check it out, telnet to:

telnet://www.acad.dynip.com

The port is the standard Telnet port of 23.

I can't believe that BBS is still running. I played on it probably six
years ago. Of course, the players there aren't nearly as numerous as
they used to be, but it's still fun. The thing that makes the games
there so much more interesting is that there are about 33 IGMs, which I
think stands for something like In Game Modules, that add all kinds of
extras to the game.

Just wanted to pass that along.

Hi,

You're probably thinking of LOTGR, Legend of the Green Dragon, which is
sort of an online version of the Red Dragon game.

As far as an offline version. I'm not sure about that one. But, if there
is, I don't think you can get it from the Acad's BBS. Anyone have an
answer for downloading and playing L.O.R.D. offline?

On Acad's, you can find me in the L.O.R.D. games as either Caitlin,
Etheria or K'ta'la.

[Audyssey] Playing Legend of the Red Dragon

2009-04-14 Thread Ann

Hi folks,

Okay, a blast from the gaming past, so to speak. LOL! I know this is a
big long shot. But, does anyone know of any places where one can telnet
to and still play the legend of the Red Dragon game? Thinking about muds
and the like has reminded me that I used to love playing the old LORD game.

There are a few online versions of LORD,not talking about LOTGD, which
is legend of the green Dragon, but they are Java based, and don't look
very accessible for screen readers. It would be nice to find an online
version that was playable.

Thanks if anyone has any advice.

I would imagine the mud has your ISP banned for some reason. Are you able to
connect from a different internet connection if you have access to one? I was
able to connect with monkey Term with no problems, and I coppied the

just using windows firewal then it's probably not your firewal, as once you
unblock monkey Term for the first time with windows firewal, there doesn't seem
to be any problem connecting to any mud with different port numbers and such.

Can you tell me the vb errors when they appear? If you installed MTScripts and
are using the JAWS scripts you can just hit insert+c on a line to copy it. It
may be the one that appears when the xml file is first open, which I've fixed
in the next version. If that's what it is, it doesn't actually break anything
worth trying to fix. If I knew what the error message said, I might be able to
either say that's the one I fixed in the next version, or try to figure out how
to fix it.

Okay, another interesting thing. I can ping that IP address, without the
port added. I can also get a Telnet log in prompt if I telnet to it
without the port number added. So, am I right in guessing that somehow
port is being blocked, either by my firewall, which is just the
plain old windows one, or by Verizon?

Try this.

Instead of trying to connect to the domain name: try connecting to
the ip address instead. I found out what it was by pinging the domain.

If you don't want to mess with VIPMud just yet, until you know you
can connect you can go to your start menu, select run and then type
the following:

telnet 174.133.72.235
and press enter.

I just did this little experiment before writing this message, and it
worked.

I'm sure it some kind of simple little deal, but let's take things

Hi folks,

Okay, I'm trying out Monkeyterm, and VIP Mud, and aside from quite
a few Microsoft VB errors that keeps popping up in Monkeyterm, it
seems to work fine. But, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong
or not. I can't connect to the Harry Potter mud at:

hpwizwars.mudmagic.com port

It always says connection timed out.

Any advice? I am able to connect to other muds.

Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] Can't connect to the Hary Potter mud

2009-04-12 Thread Ann

Hi again,

thanks for the advice. I tried your telnet experiment, and still can't
connect at all. I can connect to other muds on different domains,
though. I hope this has nothing to do with my Verizon Mobile Broadband.

~Ann

Jeremy Hartley wrote:

Hey there.

Well, you could be having some kind of firewall issue, but let's try
something first.

Try this.

Instead of trying to connect to the domain name: try connecting to the
ip address instead. I found out what it was by pinging the domain.

If you don't want to mess with VIPMud just yet, until you know you can
connect you can go to your start menu, select run and then type the
following:

telnet 174.133.72.235
and press enter.

I just did this little experiment before writing this message, and it
worked.

I'm sure it some kind of simple little deal, but let's take things one
step at a time. grin

[Audyssey] New Harry Potter mud free mud clients

Hi,

I'd like to try and play the new Harry Potter mud talked about on this

Dos days, in fact.

Anyhow, can anyone recommend a good and free JFW compatible Mud client?
I can't afford to be buying any new programs now.

Thanks.

My nephew just got a brand new Wii game system. I've seen this talked

Anyhow, what games are the easiest for blind people to play on the Wii?
I think some sports games, like a baseball, boxing, tennis, golf,
bowling etc., games came with the system. Any and all other tips you can
give me will be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi folks,

Okay, I've dodged all the arrows, made it through without being crushed

Re: [Audyssey] Poison arrows in Monkey business

2009-03-27 Thread Ann

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for responding so quickly.

That's very good advice. But, I've tried holding down the left alt,
control, and down arrow keys but it doesn't work for me. Smith crouches,
but just sits there. That key combination doesn't make him continually
walk backward while crouching. Now, if I hold down the left alt, shift,
control and down arrow, that works except Im not sure if Smith stays
crouched all the time.

I'm wondering if I have an earlier version of Monkey business. Is there
anyway to tell which version you have installed?

~Ann

Bryan Peterson wrote:
What I find most effective is to turn to the opposite direction once
you enter the temple Press Insert to do this quickly, although I'm
sure you know that. Once you're facing back west, press and hold
Control, Alth and the down arrow, which will allow you to run
backwards at a crouch. That'll get you past the darts. Do the same
when you enter the collapsing corridor. You just might have to do some
sidestepping for that part. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone,
over the last couple of days or so I have been looking through some of
my old back ups when I found the source code for some old games I had
written years ago. Most of these were text games I had written while I
was a college student just learning Visual Basic, C++, Java, etc. My
thought is I could spend some time, clean up the source code, fix any
errors, or whatever then release them as free games. Is anyone
interested in some free text games for Windows, Mac, and Linux?
For the most part the kinds of games I am talking about here is basic
board and card games like Black Jack, Life, Tick Tack Toe, Checkers,
Hangman, etc. Basically, the same kind of games you can get from Jim
Kitchen or Spoonbill without the sound effects. Although, the
difference here is the majority of these were written in C/C++ so I
can easily make Windows, Linux, and Mac OS versions without any major
changes in the source code. If you want additional Sapi or
Gnome-Speech support that also is possible though I would think most
of you probably would be fine with just the text. Any thoughts on this?

[Audyssey] Shades of Doom and sarah audio walkthroughs a lost Sarah registration

2009-03-16 Thread Ann

Hi folks,

Okay, I'm stil in recovery mode after my hard drive crash, and one thing
that none of my backups, except probaby the ton of disks that went bad,
have a Shades of Doom audio walkthrough. i can't remember who recorded
this, but it as a whole game walkthrough, level by level, done in I
think OGG files. anyone know what I'm talking about here, and more
importantly, where I can download it?

I'm also looking for a Sarah, well, I don't think it was an actual
walkthrough, but someone recorded the first level of Sarah game play in
a review. Does anyone have this?

And, how can i recover a lost Sarah registration key? Of course, I've
found almost all of my registration emails except that one. Does Phil
and/or Draconis send replacements upon request?

Thanks.

[Audyssey] Help? A very long shot request for Montezuma's Return

2009-03-15 Thread Ann

hi folks,

Well, Im on the brink of a potential hard drive disaster. Yes, my old
hard drive may have crashed and burned on the very day I ordered a new
external drive. Now, what are the chances of that happening, just my luck.

Anyway, I know this is a total long shot, but on my old hard drive that
may be dead -- I won't know for sure until I get a SATA to USB2 adapter
to find out -- but on that drive I had all the releases of the old
Montezuma's Return game. Would anyone happen to still have a copy of it
somewhere, and could they upload that somewhere for me to download?
Thomas, I swear I'm not trying to steal your game. I'm just asking for a
copy of the last release of the game and not an illegal registration
code or anything?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

MOTA is absolutely excellent, I have the latest beta and am enjoying
it. Like I say, I'm not asking for an illegal registration key. If I
were wanting to infringe on anyone's rights, I sure wouldn't be asking
that on this list. I'm just looking for a copy of the last release, if
I can get it back. If not, well as they say, 'them there's the breaks,
but I thought I'd try, anyway.

Hi Thomas and All,

I think your server is fine, Thomas. I just downloaded the file, and got
around 190 to 230 KB a second.

The new release is wonderful, even if I do keep falling in the fire pit.
But, I'll get the hang of it.

Great job, Thomas.

Hi Folks,

Ok, I love the version 2 of Troopanum. But, there is one thing that is
driving me crazy. I have never, ever, been able to land that blasted

trick or two I'm missing?

Hi all,

I've been playing with this game, too. It's fun to play alone, even
without a 1-player option. But, my nephews and I have had hours of fun
with it.

I just have one question. Has anyone been able to accurately determined
what the number of your dice roll is? I haven't been able to figure out
how to get Jaws to speak this. But, this is the only issue, and it's
really minor one for me.

Hello everyone. I believe I've stumbled across something very interesting
here. It's an unofficial free version of a popular fantasy adventure board
game called Talisman. There's no single player mode so you'd need to have
two or more people present at the same computer to derrive the full benefit
from this. I've just begun to try this out playing two characters myself and
the results have been good so far. I found the link at the bottom of a
Wikipedia article on the original board game. It's a zip file and
you have to download directly from the link as the site itself says it's
under construction. Use the save target as command if you can in order to
save the zip file rather than open it. The game doesn't install anything.
You just extract the files into their own folder and run talisman.exe.
There's also a file talisman rulebook.exe which provides a basic manual for
the game. I find this easier to use once you go into the view menu and get
rid of the tree view. The game is quite simple to play and you u
se the cursor keys or numbers to select your options. When you are selecting
a space to move to on the board, the cursor keys navigate you around. Hit
the space bar or enter key and you will be told what location you've
selected and asked whether you're certain you want to go there. It's a bit
clumsy and slower but it works. The game doesn't rely on you hiding anything
from your opponents so there are no worries on that score.

I've had best results when I've had my Jaws set to echo all. You could also
use the review cursor. When you run talisman.exe, you have to hit the space
bar or enter key at least once before the first readable screen appears. I
presume there are graphics first.

While a single player option would have been nifty, I look forward to trying
this game out with family and friends. Even playing one or more characters
on one's own and seeing whether any of them can make it to the centre and
claim the crown of command can be entertaining. I'd be interested to hear
about how others do with this game particularly if you can get one or more
other people to play with you. The link to this game is:

[Audyssey] Accessible Uno game with human players

I have been playing the spoonbill version of the card game, Uno, for a

If there isn't such a beast out there, perhaps some excellent game

Though, the rubics cube as been produced in other shapes. There is a

[Audyssey] RPGs, side scrollers, 3-D games, bring 'em all on!

2008-03-22 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

I don't post here very often. so, I am only going to make two comments
bout all this fuss. The first being that I have always found Thomas very
honest, and very very helpful. I don't remember exactly which version of
the beta it was, but I had some trouble installing one of his earlier
versions of Monty. Thomas, as well as several list members, were there
to help. So, I will support Thomas in whatever type of game, or games,
he eventually produces.

And, secondly, I am very very concerned by the out and out rudeness and
vulgarity of some of these messages. It worries me even more that so
many people who claim to be supporting Thom just seem to be using this
disagreement to show of and act out, to name call, to use every form of
bad language (and i don't mean bad grammar or spelling) that can be
conceived in the English language. this disagreement is no excuse for
this sort of behavior from anyone, and the fact that the majority of it
seems to be coming from so-called Thom supporters is very troubling to
me. Are there no basic rules of deportment on this list? But, i shall
leave this matter up to the list mods to sort out as they see fit.

Now, my main point. I just want games which I, as a totally blind
person, can play on my computer. I'll happily take side scrollers,
arcade style even if we do have an abundance of those around, 3-d,
puzzle, text adventures...basically, I'll take and try all sorts of
games. Being totally blind all my life, the side scroller genre still
feels fairly new to me as I didn't get to play all those neat old Atari
style games, or if I did play them, you couldn't say by any stretch of
the imagination that they were accessible. Please remember, if you can,
that what may be old boring nostalgic to some may be brand new, or
fairly new, for others.

So, folks, can we please get a grip, stop ripping Thom and all those who
love side scrollers over the hot coals, act like respectful intelligent
human beings and not a ravenous pack of starving wolves, and get back to
the business of this list...the discussion of games, all forms and types
of games? You're allowed to love side scrollers if you want, I know I
do, as I love all other types of games.

Thom, you hang in there, take a break from this or any other email list
where the insanity might be spreading, and just keep on being honest
with us.

hank you.

Re: [Audyssey] Haunted House Pinball problem

2008-01-11 Thread Ann
I think there still might be a bug, somewhere.

I remember the older versions, but I'm not pressing the shift key
continuously, and it still gets stuck about halfway through, once or
twice it will even get stuck after tapping the key only once at the very
beginning. But, even if I only tap the key once or twice for each
tombstone, it sticks and will not let me knock down anything else.

~Ann

Raul A. Gallegos wrote:
It actually used to be a bug that you could keep pressing the flipper

other words, only press the flipper when you think the tombstone will
need to be knocked down, not continuously like people got used to smile.

 Hi folks,

Has anyone ever had this problem while playing the Haunted House table
in ESP Pinball Classic? When I get to the graveyard to knock down the
tombstones, it seems as if my flipper, or the ball, or something, is
getting stuck. The scan seems to continue fine in its clockwise way, but
it usually happens after I've knocked down the second or third
tombstone, but it can wait as long as knocking down the fourth. When I
try to hit the other stones towards the right end, there is no sound of
my flipper moving at all,no matter which shift key I press.

I have a 3 GHZ computer, 768 MB of DDR ram, and XP Home.

 Thanks.

[Audyssey] Haunted House Pinball problem

2008-01-10 Thread Ann

Thanks.

~Ann

Hi,

Well, it was something so incredibly simple, as i thought. You know, one
of those, smack yourself on the forehead, kind of things. When I was
toggling the setting from low to high resources, I wasn't completely
exiting and restarting the game program. When I put the setting on High,
shutdown then restarted the game, the ledge sounds worked just fine.

Thanks for everyones help and patience.

Hi John,

So, does this mean that it isn't anything that I can fix myself,
especially with me not being a programmer? But, it is something the game
developer needs to address then? And, do you have any idea why this
might be happening on my system, but apparently not on anyone else's?

Beta 2 works perfectly fine, and all the beta releases before it worked
fine. It is just the last two beta releases that have shown this problem.

If you like reading error codes, I hope you enjoyed my previous message.
LOL!

[Audyssey] Fixed Monti problem was Re: Interesting Monty problem

2007-10-18 Thread Ann
Hi Thomas,

It works!! YIPPEE!!! :) I believe it was your registry tip that did it.
I followed your advice about uninstalling netframework 3, and
re-installing 2.0, but got the exact same error message. But, when I
followed your registry advice about deleting the Monti key from USA
Games, both new betas work. Although, I admit I haven't had the nerve to
try re-installing framework 3 again. LOL!

Thank you for all your help on this problem. It was starting to drive me
a little nuts.

From what I can see you still have the bad registry keys left by Beta
 2. Beta 2 had a rather nasty bug with registry keys which was fixed in
Beta 3/4. Here is what you should try.

 1. Go to run and type regedit, and press enter.
 2. Down arrow to HKEY_Current_User, and press right arrow.
 3. Down arrow to Software, and press right arrow.
 4. Down arrow to USA Games, and press right arrow.
 5. Down Arrow to Montezumas Revenge, and press your context key. That is
the key between your right control and right Win key.
 6. Arrow to delete, and confirm yes.
 7. Exit the registry editor.
 8. Restart Montezuma's Revenge, and it should work properly now.

[Audyssey] Interesting Monty problem

2007-10-17 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

I'm having this annoying Monty issue. I am running Windows XP Home on a 2.93
GHZ computer with 784 MB of DDR Ram. If I uninstall a previous beta of
Monty, then install a newer beta, it will not run, giving me a whole ton of
Microsoft dotnet Framework errors. Oh, and I have the newest DirectX
install, as well as the latest Dotnet installed, although it took me a bit
to get the newest Dotnet Framework to install properly on my machine.

I could post the error log here, or to anyone who might be able to read it,
and tel me how to fix this. but, if I don't uninstall a beta of Monty, and
just install the newest beta on top of the older one, it will run. However,
even though the version seems to be updated, some of the newest changes are
not implemented.

Any suggestions, folks?

Hi Thomas,

As far as I can ascertain, the last beta that has worked flawlessly for
me is the Beta2.

Anyhow, I'm going to post the entire text from the dotnet window which

[Audyssey] frog chess pieces in sarah

2007-09-05 Thread Ann
Hi,

Ok, folks, how about another little Sarah hint, on or off list. I'm in the
chamber of puzzles now, with all those frogs, an the Frog King has told me
if I find a chess piece, I'll be allowed to pass. I found a Frogs Pawn chess
piece in Honeydukes. Is this what I need to use or, as usual, am I
overlooking something? How do I get past these frogs?

Thanks.

[Audyssey] Metris from nspiredCode

2007-08-27 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the Metris fame, from:

http://www.inspiredcode.net

Each time I have downloaded the game from that site, and tried to install
it, I get an error message saying the files are corrupt, and to download a
fresh copy.

Thanks.

[Audyssey] Getting to the lake in Sarah

2007-08-26 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

I don't normally do this, but after more then a week and a half, I think I'm
good and truly stuck. So, if someone would like to reply to me off list, and
give me some hints about how to get to the lake in the sarah game, I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] downloading sarah game

2007-03-19 Thread Ann
I am on dial up, and I downloaded Sarah from the PCS server on Friday,
and resumed the download many times. It took me about fifteen hours, but
I got it, and was able to resume the download multiple times. I use
Getright as my download manager.

Still waiting for a registration code, though.

[Audyssey] creating tactual aids for Sarah the registration keys

2007-03-17 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

tucked away in the Sarah manual, there is a very brief mention about
how to create a tactual representation of mazes using pushpins and
cardboard. I am attempting to do this for the beginning of sarah. It
would be nice if these sort of things were available for purchase, but
would probably be very time consuming to make, and expensive to buy.

Anyway, has anyone else ever tried this method to help them navigate
mazes before? I could probably use some advice on creating such a
tactual grid for sArah. Im one of those folk who tend to get a bit lost
in these audio environments.

Also, when is a reasonable time to expect to receive a registration key
for Sarah? I payed for mine yesterday, but so far, have heard nothing
yet. I'm not too worried yet, though. I bet there are a lot of orders to
process.

Re: [Audyssey] Playing Accessible Invaders

2006-08-03 Thread Ann
I don't remember reading anywhere in the manual where it says to turn off a
screen reader. How would you select a profile with the screen reader off? Of
course, I can't seem to select anything with it on, either.

This game is really frustrating, but maybe we have been spoiled with
Troopanum and those types of games.

So far, from what I read in the user's manual and through my first attempt
at playing, you have to turn your screen reader off before playing. You
move your ship left or right with the left and right arrow keys and stop
where you want to shoot from. When the descending ship passes directly
overhead, press the space bar to shoot. I suppose you can chase the ship
across the screen and fire as well. I, too, will be interested in the
findings of other players. Be sure to select the nonvisual configuration.

[Audyssey] Green door bug in Monty and where is that green key

2006-07-13 Thread Ann
Hi folks,

Well, I've just found out that it isn't just the red door that one can jump
over without a key. You can also jump right over the green door, and I admit
I hesitated just a tiny bit to report that one because I usually can't find
that blasted green key anywhere. LOL!

 Hi, Anne and all.
All of the doors in the first temple have the same bug. I am working on
a patch which resolves this bug. It also sometimes will happent to walls
if you jump at them just right.
 As for the green key

After you go through the blue door keep going strait, jump over the
spider, and get the green key. Then, double back and climb up the rope.

Hi,

Well, I pressed it completely by accident, myself. But, I haven't noticed
any difference at all in game play since I did, so maybe nothing was
damaged. and, if it was, I can always re-install, like you suggested to do.

 Hi, Anne and all.
The key is used for writing out the *.map files for the game. Do not, I
repete, do not push that key unless you know what you are doing.
Pressing it can screw up your *.map file causing game lockups or crashes.
Since you have already pushed I suggest installing patch 1 to restore
your *.map file to the stable one.
Sorry, about this, but I wasn't intending on anyone pushing that key,
and I should have restricted it's use to me only.

[Audyssey] Replacing a Pinball Classic registration key

2006-04-02 Thread Ann
Hi,

Does anyone know how to get in contact with Draconis Entertainment to ask
how to obtain a replacement registration number for Pinball Classic? I have
gone through there web site, use the suggested emails, and so forth, but
haven't heard anything yet from them about this issue.

I'm hoping by the time I do hear from someone at Draconis that I might have
found my old registration key buried somewhere in these 150-plus backup CDS
I have piled around this place, but just in case I don't find it or the CD
has gone bad, I thought I'd ask.
