What's intriguing is that my calcium level in that Spectrum vitamin (blood) test was that my calcium was actually way above normal. Ironically I am not supposed to eat dairy and casein -- but I confess I'm addicted to it and trying to quit - have to wean slowly. D-Mannose is known to do exactly what the article describes as the best way to combat the problem. Cranberry is good too, but, if I were you, I would start supplementing with D-Mannose immediately as per Dr. Jonathan Wright’s article above. It can’t hurt anything and might very well work for you. A good cranberry supplement too. If these don’t help, then you can consider other, more difficult and dangerous options I would try these first. Del

Jane The filters that remove chlorine don’t necessarily remove chloramine. Chloramine can be removed for drinking water purposes by a carbon block or activated carbon filter that can be installed on a kitchen faucet. Also, both chlorine and chloramine can be removed for bathing purposes by dissolving Vitamin C in the bath water. One 1000 mg Vitamin C tablet will neutralize chloramine in an average bathtub. (18) There are no shower filters on the market that completely remove chloramine. (19) There are, however, whole house water filters that remove chlorine, chloramine, and other contaminants. Unfortunately, they’re quite expensive and thus may not be an option for many people. Vitamin C shower filters may be a good choice for those looking for an inexpensive way to reduce the chloramine (and chlorine) content of their showers. Vitamin C is an effective dechlorination agent, removing up to 99% of chlorine and chloramine, and vitamin C filters are much less expensive than the whole house filter featured above. The disadvantage to using them is they’re not as durable or effective as a whole house filtration system, and you would need a separate filter for each shower outlet in the house. http://chriskresser.com/is-your-daily-shower-making-you-sick

Re: CSHow to clean jars for silver making
To clean the jar: Different people have their methods. One thing you should never do is use any kind of soap or cleaner on the jar. I find that putting some drug store hydrogen peroxide in the jar, putting on a waterproof canning jar top, and shaking vigorously pretty much cleans the jar, after which you should rinse with some distilled water. If your jar is turning yellow or you get yellow CS or plating out, you probably have impurities in the water from either the electrodes (don’t ever touch them with your hands, and if you do clean with hydrogen peroxide) or because your setting is too high and you are making the silver too strong. After reading about the Nutribullet on this site, I purchased one. Well, it smelled really bad, had that bad, very strong vinyl type of smell. I'd had a Campion but clean-up was a chore and so much of the good in organic veg.s and fruit was lost in the eliminated skin. I've found that it's good to take the 'max fill' line very seriously or you will get overflow. If that happens, immediately turn just the power base upside down and rap it sharply over a towel so whatever liquid escaped doesn't run down into the motor area. Yes, it IS hard to unscrew, especially when hands are stiff in the morning. My blood pressure went down to good levels with the smallest dose of drug. My cholesterol was about 20 points lower than the previous year. I have tried making smoothies with my Oster blender, but they come out too foamy and not as smooth. I usually use: a large handful of spinach (or some kale mixed in) 1/2 container of plain yogurt 1 scoop whey protein 1/2 banana (sliced and frozen) frozen berries, cherries, peaches, or fresh nectarines 1/2 packet stevia unsweetened coconut water Often I add chia seeds (the chia and berry seeds remain a bit gritty.) Once I tried raw carrots, pineapple and the basic stuff and that came out smooth, too. I don't like celery in the smoothie, that was all I could taste. I also disliked almond milk even though I love almonds and eat raw ones most mornings. I love to make smoothies thick and eat them with a silver ice tea spoon out of a frozen beer mug. They are a real treat. A little more coconut water makes them fine through a normal straw. My NutriBullet has some minor problems with leaking, being hard to open, or not shutting off promptly, but I figure if it conks out, I'm going to buy another one immediately. If you are only concerned about drinking water, the Multipure under sink filter is enough by itself. If you are also concerned about shower water, the Aqua Sana shower filter is very good and lasts about six months if you don’t have a whole house filter. With a whole house filter also in place, the shower filter easily lasts for a year. The whole house filter takes care of bath water and all other watering needs, including plants. Re: CSPain Relief (anti-inflammatory)
The soy in this product is not a whole soy, but is only an extract from soy (phosphatidylcholine) that is combined with the curcumin to create a “phytosome” which is much more bioavailable than the curcumin alone. This process is used to enhance quite a few other herbal extracts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytosome I don’t believe phosphatidylcholine or the resultant phytosomes have any of the negative health implications of a whole soy product such as soy milk, etc. Many members on this list create their own liposomal vit C, according to the Brooks Bradley formula, using soy lecithin (similar to phosphatidylcholine) to achieve liposomal encapsulation and thus much greater bio-availability. Re: CStick - oregano- shinglesI may have posted this before, but I am not sure how many people saw it. I have received amazing relief from long term pain due to a hip injury from a David Williams product called Periva. It is basically an extract of Tumeric and Hops, so it is all natural and you can take it long term with no nasty side effects. You can buy it direct from David William’s site or also from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Williams-Periva-Supplement-capsules/dp/B0083V8R58/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8qid=1353711634sr=8-1keywords=Periva I take two a day WITH FOOD (don’t take on an empty stomach, tumeric is a powerful spice) and am pain free all day. Everyone is different, but my wife also reports pain relief from this relatively new product, so it is worth a try for those with chronic pain. Del Product Description Clinically shown to quickly, safely, and naturally relieve aches and pains. Let's face it, when you're in pain, you want relief and you want it fast. But you also want something natural that won't have negative effects on your health. Periva is a proprietary blend of two breakthrough natural ingredients that provide fast, effective relief. Perluxan is a unique hops extract containing 30% alpha acids, which have been shown to support the body's natural inflammatory response. Perluxan has been shown in clinical studies to relieve pain quickly. In fact, study participants using Perluxan showed significantly reduced pain in all five movement aspects tested, including walking, lying down, sitting, and going up and down stairs. Meriva is a highly bioavailable form of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric. This spice is known for its health promoting properties, but especially for its ability to promote a normal inflammatory response and ease joint and muscle discomfort. The curcumin in Meriva is bound to soy phosphatidylcholine to create a phytosome, which makes it up to 45 times more bioavailable than ordinary curcumin. Re: CSMSM
MSM is not a solution for IBS. In fact, it may aggravate it. The solution, based on my experience, is three-fold: 1. Clay – get a high quality clay from this website: http://www.therapy-clays.com/edible-three-clay-blend.php. Start with a teaspoon of clay in four ounces of filtered or purified water twice a day, and increase to as much as a tablespoon in 8oz twice a day. Stir the clay into the water and let it sit for half an hour before drinking. 2. Colon Care – Some people get constipated from clay. Colon Care from Yerba Prima is very gentle, is excellent for the colon in general, prevents constipation, and provides great fiber for colon health. http://www.amazon.com/Yerba-Prima-Colon-Formula-Powder/dp/B0016BJLXO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8qid=1353523461sr=8-2keywords=colon+care 3. Live Kefir probiotic – make your own kefir and drink it every day, at least 8 ounces a day. I drink mine in the evening and let it work while I am asleep. You can order kefir grains from Amazon, I did and they work very well. Use organic milk, raw milk if you can get it. We also tried water kefir and Kombucha, but neither of those were near as effective as the kefir. http://www.amazon.com/KEFIR-GRAINS-LIVE-ORGANIC-MILK/dp/B000ZTG4UG/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpcie=UTF8qid=1353523667sr=1-1keywords=kefir+grains We have used the above with great success to deal with lifelong IBS problems. CSRegarding using DSMSO on Toenails.
I tried a mixture of DMSO and Potassium Iodide (SSKI – See http://tahomaclinicblog.com/iodide/) on toenail fungus. I am pretty sure this would have killed it over time, but there was a problem. Re: CSOT Chemo advice please?
Kirsteen: I am no expert, but I have done a lot of research on cancer for my sister and we have a friend on chemo who has also given us good information. Basically, chemo trashes your immune system, so you have to take supplements that will fortify you. The most important one we have found is IP6-Inositol. Please read this article for information on IP6: http://jn.nutrition.org/content/133/11/3778S.full Our friend with cancer was told by her doctor to take this while on chemo to keep her immune system working. My wife and I started taking it every day just to strengthen our immune systems, and my health has shown a visible improvement since. For cancer patients, they recommend two scoops of the powder per day, but I can’t tolerate the powder, so I take the capsules – it takes 16 capsules to equal two scoops, but I only take four to eight per day. Re: CSProbioticsFor most of her life, my wife has been battling IBS. I always believed that a probiotic should solve the problem. We tried many (including the HSO). Nothing worked. We think eventually she will be able to stop taking it and still remain stable. If you order it, make sure to order from the company itself so that it will be shipped with ice packs. Re: CSPlease clarify PET storage bottles!?
I just store the CS in the mason jar I make it in. I have several jars and just keep rotating them. They do not ordinarily need to be cleaned and will not normally contaminate your next batch. If you get deposits on the sides or bottom of the jar, you can try putting some drug store h2o2 in the jar, cover and shake vigorously. Then rinse well with distilled water. You can also scrape with a stainless steel spoon or butter knife. Don't use any soap or other cleaners, they will contaminate. New jars are usually good, but rinse first with distilled water. Use the one piece plastic jar tops, not the two piece metal canning tops. Also, how do you clean out a used one of these bottles to make sure it doesn't contaminate a fresh batch of CS? One more question (for now at least, lol!) Re: CSIm new...Hello! A little help please1
Kenny: I did not see if anybody else answered you, so I will try: The dosage size depends. I started out taking teaspoon sized doses and it seemed to help. However, after a while I started using larger doses because the smaller ones did not seem to work anymore. Eventually, to fight off a cold or flu, I would drink two to three cups a day of CS, made with an SG 6 at about 10ppm. This worked for me to drive off colds and such, but eventually made my nail beds darken. Now I only use CS if I feel a problem, a cold or flu, coming on. Instead, on a daily basis, I take ample doses of Vit D3 and Lipo-C. These have kept me cold and flu free so far, my general health has improved, and I reserve CS for emergencies only. My wife burned her finger last week, and sprayed it with CS many times that day - took the pain away and healed nicely. I spray my eyes and face periodically. There are many such uses for CS, but I no longer use it every day. Just follow the instructions for the SG6. Don't touch the electrodes with your fingers when cleaning. I just wipe with a paper towel or napkin. When you attach the stirring stick to the SG6, don't push it in too far or it will bind against the top. If you make a yellow batch, it means there were impurities somewhere on the jar or the electrodes. Have to keep everything clean, but never use soap or other cleaners on bottle or electrodes. You can clean with hydrogen peroxide if necessary. You will learn from experience. Everyone develops their own methods. Hi, Is anybody making their own liposomal glutathione? We have had such a positive experience using lipo-C, made according to the Brooks Bradley formula, that we would like to try the lipo-glutathione as well and I was hoping to get a recipe and instructions from somebody who is already doing it. We are concentrating lately on supplements that enhance the immune system. One that we have had great success with is IP-6 Inositol. While this is known primarily as a cancer fighter (http://jn.nutrition.org/content/133/11/3778S.full) it is also a powerful immune system booster and has many beneficial effects with no reports yet of any negative ones of any significance. I take the pill (4 in the morning and 4 at night, on an empty stomach) because something in the IP-6 powder has a bad effect on my intestines - the pill has no such effect, so I know it is something else in the powder, probably the stevia, which I can't tolerate. Of course, we take five thousand units a day of Vit-D3. We like supplements that work right away. We saw immediate benefits from the IP-6, and even more dramatic benefits from the lipo-C. We have tried others, such as Beta-glucan, with no noticeable result, so we discontinued. thanks, Del -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Re: CSCS: Lipo C encapsulation technique
Would you or anyone else in the group know of a reason, I could skip adding the bicarb and just start with sodium ascorbate, vs citric acid? I'm a big confused on when a person would want citric acid vs ascorbate. Thank you, Lin When making Lipo C, we only use sodium ascorbate. The reason is given in the post below. With that said, I guess combining ascorbic acid and sodium bicarb would give you the same thing. But I would rather just buy the socium ascorbate. Del From Les Nachman, VP of Research and Development at LivOn Labs: Thank you for your inquiry regarding ascorbic acid and our use of sodium ascorbate in the Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. You're quite right, gastric juices have no effect on properly liposomed molecules regardless of chemical composition. The problem with using plain ascorbic acid resides in the blood, not the stomach. Large doses of pure ascorbic acid in the blood can induce acidosis, an increased hydrogen ion concentration in the blood plasma. This increased acidity condition can result in a plethora of highly dangerous conditions such as diabetic ketoacidosis , respiratory acidosis, metabolic acidosis, renal tubular acidosis, anion gap acidosis, cellular acidosis, and the list goes on. Virtually all of these conditions, if not treated, can lead to death. This is why no medical professional uses straight ascorbic acid when giving an IV-Vitamin C infusion. When taken orally, ascorbic acid in small amounts can be tolerated in most cases. Although diabetics and folks with kidney problems should not take straight ascorbic acid. Which leads us to our product and the answer to your question. Many of our customers are accustomed to taking multiple gram doses at one time, several times a day. On several occasions, I myself have taken 30 grams in one day. Sodium ascorbate is proven safe at 10 times 30 grams and even more in a 24 hour period, and so we use it with confidence in the Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. Best regards, Les Nachman

Re: CSPlantar fasciitis, was DMSO, to Lisa
I use Thieves Oil from Young Living (yes, I know, people don't like them, but their oils are good). Clove oil is a main ingredient. I have used it internally many times with no problems. Doesn't the M2 gel have a lot of magnesium in it? That could also be helping to relax your tissues. Yes. I am using the Oil of Cloves from www.studioproducts.com, actually sold as a fine art paint additive. They sent me a bottle to try with an order of their triple distilled turpentine. I asked around what it was good for and Chuck told me that it was good for the kind of pain like being hit in the face with a brick;) Well that was a pretty good description of my foot pain sometimes so I rubbed some on and began to get immediate relief. To cut it all short, I found out that it worked as good and dried faster when mixed with Miracle II Neutralizer Gel. Just cover the bottom of a shot glass with M2 Neut Gel, add a FEW drops of Clove oil, mix with finger until emulsified, and apply to foot. Warning: Any infections in the body will begin dying. I still get a very mild reaction in my right sinus and upper jaw joint area from it. The first urination after application may burn. That can happen within 30 seconds. Clove oil goes through the skin and throughout the body as fast as or faster than DMSO but it smells good and you don't taste it. Anything else you used specifically for the PF? A grounding pad at my feet as I sleep, and 2 of Peter Kulish's regular magnets, in a sock, one one each side of foot, green side in. I have tired many other things including many rubbings with DMSO and took lots of various and sundry superfoods and supplements including recently a lot of Knox gelatin but nothing gave me the pain relief that I got from Oil of Cloves. I do think though that the magnets and grounding add much to the actual healing, but do not give the pain relief of the Clove oil. Wash hands afterward. Do NOT get Clove oil in eyes! DaddyBob

Re: CSOT: Implants-materials/kinds/questions to ask
I lost all my teeth due to weak enamel, an early sugar habit, and bad (very bad) dentistry. I have had them replaced with titanium implant supported bridges. I have quite a few implants, both top and bottom. All the surgery was difficult, but once healed they have not given me one minute of trouble. Is there risk involved? Certainly, but I decided that the risk involved in NOT doing it was worse. You have to weigh your risks in life. Having a real expert in placing implants is the most important thing. I had a terrific periodontist to work with. By the way, I refused to do anything like nerve relocation or sinus lift. They love to do that stuff, but you don't really need it. I only take so many risks. You still have to clean and brush the implants to avoid biofilms, just like with regular teeth. It took a while to get used to the bridges, but they are much easier to adapt to than dentures, which I never considered doing. They only real damage that I suffered from all this was strictly financial. This stuff is EXPENSIVE! Many thousands of dollars of our savings. But you only live once, right, and I need to go on chewing. Rowena: Thanks for all your information. I have forwarded it to Jane. It will take a while to absorb. Thanks to all others who have responded. She was back home within 48 hrs of being bitten, and the doc here immediately put her on Doxycycline, 100 mg twice a day for 3 days. According to some postings, that should be continued for more days. She is also using some colloidal silver, which she does not like to use because it previously turned her cuticles silvery gray. I am trying to persuade her to use my olive leaf, oregano oil combination (which I take twice a day) - she is a bit fearful of that because I had such strong detox symptoms when I first started using it. The Salt/C protocol may be too strong for her. She is very sensitive to all meds and supplements. However, she has not reacted to the Doxy yet. I have a Godzilla zapper from V. We also have the therapik, but my understanding is, it is only useful if you get the bite right away. She has already tried the Bentonite clay (with apple cider vinegar I believe). I will have her do more of that. I had a really itchy mosquito bite a few days ago, was driving me nuts, and an application of bentonite clay took the itch away within minutes, and it never came back. That stuff really works. Re: CSPFOA Free Cookware
Well, Teflon is made with PFOA as the solvent I believe, to dissolve the PTFE into a form that can be coated onto a pot or pan. The pan is then heated to some high temperature to cook off the PFOA (into the atmosphere), leaving behind the PTFE non-stick coating, which, as you indicate, is very inert up to about 600 degrees. I believe the problem with Teflon is that not ALL the PFOA is gone and cooking continues to release small amounts of it into the air of your kitchen. Also, over time, some of the less durable Teflon coatings tend to wear off into your food, especially if you use metal implements. Anyway, I believe the Hydrolon coating on the Ecolutions cookware is supposed to be water based so manufacture does less damage to the environment when they cook/finish the product, and there is zero danger of releasing PFOA into your home air. Of course, I have also read that at this point, we all have PFOA in our blood stream even if we don't use Teflon cookware because so much of it has already been released into the environment. Anyway, there are probably other, better choices for PFOA free non-stick cookware, like ScanPan which is ceramic over aluminum, but those cost 80 to 100 dollars for a small frying pan and my penurious instincts simply will not allow me to spend that much for a small frying pan, even though I probably waste twice that on occasion on totally useless gadgets (just spent $100 to have the rear seat cup holder in my Legacy station wagon replaced - go figure!) Garrick: That's exactly what I want it for - frying and scrambling eggs from free running chickens - and cooking Vermont made, nitrate and nitrite free, bacon and sausage from organically raised, hormone free pork. When I do this on stainless steel, the eggs always stick, no matter how much butter or coconut or olive oil I use, and the sausages stick too. I'm not much of a cook, so I usually end up making a mess. That's about the only time I would use it. And I only need the small frying pan. Think I will give it a try. Yes, I had the same reaction to the stones, crystal, and also to all commercial deodorants: break out in a red rash after a few days use. Then I found that I could make an excellent deodorant from GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract). I fill a spray bottle with about one fifth GSE and four fifths distilled water. You may have to experiment a bit to find the best ratio for you. Shake it up to dissolve the GSE in the water. It should foam a little at the top, otherwise it is too weak. Then spray it on and massage it into the skin. I have been using this for several years with no allergic reaction. Hi Jason: Good to see you back on this list again, it's been a while. This post is timely for me, I have an infection on the knuckle of my thumb that will not go away. I scored it with a hand saw while sawing up some downed tree limbs in my back yard. It bled quite a bit, and I first washed it out then poured on some DMSO and CS, and some Cayenne Tincture, then bandaged it with a Band-Aid and Bacitracin. It healed over, but apparently an infection persisted under the skin, which now has a lump on the knuckle. I tried applying CS and DMSO several times a day, but not much success. So I switched to DMSO and SSKI (potassium iodide) with better results, but still not eliminated. It so happens that my wife is using pure calcium bentonite as a facial. It's this one here: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=SW-1001 Would this work for my thumb as described in your email? And what do you mean by 50% of whatever ionic complex. Why not just use 100% CS with the clay? I assume the clay acts to draw out the infection and the CS kills it? Re: CSanother question about cell phones
Only when in use - but, of course, that is when you are holding it up to your ear. If you have a cordless house phone, the handset emits radiation only when in use. But the cordless base/recharging station where the antenna is emits radiation constantly (just like a cell phone tower with antennas). If you have a WI-Fi system, your Wi-Fi router also emits radiation constantly. Having a Wi-Fi router is like having a cell phone tower in your house! Your laptop that uses Wi-Fi emits radiation when you connect to the Wi-Fi system (kind of like the cell phone). The problem is with the continuous types of exposure from base stations and for people who have a cell phone glued to their ear for hours a day. The units kids use of texting also emit, but at least when texting they do not hold them to their ear - that helps. Re: CSanother question about cell phones
I measured RF radiation from our cell phone when powered on but not in use, using our Electrosmog detector (this one: http://www.lessemf.com/rf.html#481) The detector did not register any radiation above background (between 0.2 and 0.8 microwatts per square meter). When I keyed the phone as if to make a call, the meter jumped up to near 200 microwatts per square meter. So our cell phone does not emit when not in use (that is not to say that others don't, however. Ours is about four years old at this point, a Samsung, don't know model number). Same thing with the cordless phone - no radiation when not in use, but jumped off the scale when keyed. Base unit, however, was off the scale all the time. We trashed our cordless phones as a result of the measurement. Likewise our Wi-Fi router. Turning on the microwave oven also pegged the meter, but we hardly ever use that, and it gives us a light over the cook stove, so we still have that. Voltage doesn't matter, it's current delivered over an area [current density again] With a higher voltage, you can deliver more current over a smaller less conductive area. How much at a given voltage depends on the conductivity of the electrolyte on the pads or how wet and salty your skin and the size of the electrodes and how far apart they are on the body. I'd like to see a variable resistor or a pulse width modulator that can go to maybe a 20/80 duty cycle to get control of that over all current. Re: CSZapper
Used it on my wrist for blood electrification. Kept the current between 0.5 and 0.75. Have it on the 30 second alternating cycle. I keep the electrodes, which are strapped to either side of my wrist with rubber bands, wet by periodically using a dropper of cs mixed with baking soda. In fifteen to twenty minutes, skin gets red, very irritated, and itches like crazy. I have to stop at that point. Not sure of any positive effects. Tried it on a bad tooth, electrodes on either side of the gum. Kept it there quite a while, but did not help. Tooth too far gone, I think. Tooth is now no more. Replaced with titanium implant. No more infection. Glad to be rid of it. Still chewing. CSIs all ionizing radiation harmful???
Most of the recent discussion views radiation as harmful. And it frequently is. But is it ever actually healthful? I don't know, but Daddybob (who we have not heard from recently) had this to say on this list in Feb., 2010: A word about Radiation Hormesis...We have all been conditioned to believe that all radiation is bad radiation. T'ain't so. We, our family, have no fear whatsoever of any part of the recommendations and products offered by NightHawk. However, as with anything, there is always too much of a good thing. DaddyBob NightHawk radiation hormesis page: http://www.nighthawkminerals.com/researchit.html Lots of information here that contradicts commonly held beliefs about radiation. Are they right? Is low dose radiation good for you? I don't know, but I am interested in reading more about it. Del -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Chernobyl - Original Message - From: Richard Goodwin To: silver-list@eskimo.com Sent: Friday, April 23, 2010 8:43 AM Subject: Re: CSA closer look at americium 241 from a smoke detector If a radioactive substance is moved from one place, e.g. in the ground, to another place, e.g., in a smoke detector, how is that adding to it? All the radioactive matter on earth is somewhere right now. When we use it, we move it from wherever it is to some place else. We don't create it. Actually, you could make an argument that by mining radioactive substances and concentrating them into reactors, bombs, or other products, you are making the world a bit safer, since it is easier to avoid exposure to reactors, bombs, etc, than to the same substances all spread out in the ground. I never have understood quite why people get all wrapped around the axle about some things. For example, we take aluminum out of the ground, where it is one of the more abundant elements in the earth's crust, and we make beer cans out of it. But if we then put that aluminum back in the ground, e.g., by throwing empty beer cans into the dump, people get all in a lather about pollution. Why? We are just putting the aluminum back where we found it. And wasting water. People get all wound up about using too much water. But it's not like it gets used up. It's still there after whatever we use it for. And it comes back to us from rain, etc. Why all the furor? Yeah, I know, there can be local shortages, but overall the total amount of water on earth doesn't really change, does it? It's the same aluminum, just in a different location. There is nothing inherently evil about aluminum being in a Maine landfill in the form of a can rather than in the ground in Argentina in the form of particles. The only thing bad about it is that a few people who live near the landfill might not like it. So why do they choose to live near the landfill? Apologies for continuing this CS-irrelevant thread. Re: CSMore on Cell-Phone and Cell-Tower radiation
Unfortunately, it is hard or impossible to prove a negative, and for every theory out there, whether crackpot or legitimate, there seems to be some research that proves the theory true. If I believed all the research out there, I would drive myself crazy trying to avoid all the dangerous things in this world. Or I would live a short miserable life and die early of hunger, thirst and utter boredom. Or, even worse, you might live a long, miserable, and utterly boring life. My parents went for years drinking decaf coffee because caffeine was bad for you, then they found out decaf was worse. They went for years avoiding eggs because they were bad for you, now eggs aren't bad any more. After seeing so many bad things become ok years later, and so many government-sanctioned good things be found to be bad, I'm not prepared to take anything at face value, especially if it comes from government, and second if it comes from research studies, which can be twisted, bent, or just plain broken, by anybody with the money to commission them and a preconceived idea of what the studies will prove. Well, that pretty much skewers all the researchers. Better tell Brooks Bradley that he has wasted his time. Even the most obvious facts of modern life, accepted almost universally by everyone without question, can be based on blatantly bad science or statistics. Take for example the claim that smoking kills 500,000 people a year because it causes heart disease, which is the nation's biggest killer. Is that true? I have no doubt that smoking is bad for people, but ... is it That bad? All my aunts and uncles who smoked died horribly of cancer. They also suffered for a long time before expiring. Dying of old age is preferable. So I avoid smoking and smokers. Am I bored? No. Will I live longer as a result? I have no idea, but I know I will feel and smell better while I live. The worst thing about smokers is that they quite literally stink. To answer that question I looked in some of those Information Please almanac books that give tons of statistics, including causes of death in the US by category: heart disease, cancer, accidents, etc. -- 50 some categories, and sure enough, cardio-vascular disease was right up there at the top of the list by a mile. But ... something is missing from all those lists. Look long enough and you might see it too, but it is easy to miss, because it IS NOT THERE: According to our illustrious government, nobody dies of old age! What a miracle that is! The government has cured OLD AGE! Must be, since they claim that nobody dies from it. My guess is simply that old age is not something doctors are allowed to enter on a death certificate as a cause of death, so they have to write something else, and when in doubt, they put down heart stopped' or some such thing. But does that make for another death from heart disease? obviously not. Doctors put lots of things on death certificates - like, for instance, patients who died of cancer when what they really died from was chemo therapy. So how many of those are there? To answer that question i sent for a publication by the National Safety Council, which resides in Chicago, and which is the source, along with National Department of Health and Human Services (a few years ago) of almost all the information in the statistical almanac books. NSC sent me a little booklet that contained, among many other things, a graph of cardio-vascular death rates vs age. Sure enough, the numbers were very low right up to the late 60s or early 70s, when they started to ramp up, reaching a sharp peak around 80, then dropping down again. Where are all the heart disease deaths at other stages of life? Not to be found in that graph, that's for sure. But then again, the only way to find that tidbit of information was to buy a little pamphlet for $25 (in 1990), from the National Safety Council, which by the way is an independent corporation in Chicago, chartered by and overseen by -- US Congress. Ok, so now we know where the numbers, and the lies, are coming from for this issue. Looks like your research here proves your point about research. Don't even get me started on drinking and driving Dick -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
