The Access Grid Tools (vic and rat) do actually support security encryption on
the transmission feeds.
My memory is a little flaky on this, as it has been ages since I have used (and

I thought I would provide some information in regards to Access Grid Hardware.
Firstly, the good thing about the Access Grid software is that it runs on
commodity hardware. Therefore, it should run on any hardware I including a
laptop.
Now that being said, with the inclusion of HD
without a x Server running, so "init 3"
ensured this.
Anyway - thought this might be useful to so of you out there running Linux
Access Grids.

projects that looked to implement this. I am not sure if there is any
"production ready" tools available, but if you were looking at a developing

Tom - I suspect the issue is related to the Argonne bridge registry being down

Just a small feedback in regards to the "open in Venue" issue. Because it
actually causes issues with the Venue Server, I would suggest removing this
feature, until substantial testing has been concluded.

Just to add to your email, I too see bridges (even when they are restarted)
disabled on some occasions, yet you can change them to "enabled" and they work
fine. It appears that the Venue Client records some false negatives sometimes
for reasons I am just to fully understand.

We now use dbeacon within Australian, as the aarnet beacon server is no longer
running.

I have a colleague who is having the exact same problem using Fedora 13.
Same error message and everything.
I think I will have to try setting my own Venue Server on a Fedora 13 install
and test.
Has anyone successfully got a Venue Manager to work on a late Fedora install???
