I am just giving them enough credit to blame someone else... And enough fault that if it's provable that a simple setting change would fix it, then they shouldn't get paid... Which is pretty much all the time when it comes to Geek squad... I wouldn't let them set up a pair of speakers...

Sounds like a MTU issue (PMTUD perhaps?). I’m guessing the other side of the VPN was wanting MTU to be 1500 bytes, but due to PPPoE overhead the client won’t ever be able to receive the full 1500 bytes. So it’s sad and won’t work. We use PPPoE and had one customer that couldn’t get to a random
