No, that just means that your local DNS server has an IP address for
that domain name, most likely stored in it's cache. That doesn't
necessarily mean that the machine you are on has a working route to that
IP address.

You need to install the kinematics module, so navigate to the place
where you extracted the files, and then:
sudo comp --install swapkins.c

You can home all the joints with Home all buttons, even if there is
no homing switch for one of the joints.
I did that for the welding robot - the rotary head did not (AFAIK it
still does not) homing switch, but it homed together with all the
other joints, which had homing switches.

It depends on what you want. Replacing Gnome session with DWM is just a
