Rick Patrick, I'm only on 6.0.1, but the guide sounds similar. On 6.0.1's Email Config Form, setting 'Use Email From Address' to Yes is I think all you need to do to have an email from a user log into the system. We don't use templates, so I'm not sure if it operates the same with them.
