We have the opposite issue. We have been Business Objects users for years, and we've owned BMC Analytics for a year and a half, but the extra BO server license is really useless for us since we put it on our production BOXI server. BMC didn't want to give us a discount even though we wouldn't

I looked at BMC Analytics about a year ago and I really wanted to get that, however, all the points that Guillaume made are true. So while Analytics is based on the BO engine, you don't have the freedom to do reporting outside its scope. I think both vendors miss out by creating that limitation
