Susan we had the same issue when we upgraded from ARS 7.0.1P6 to 7.5 P2.
The issue is with the control table not being upgraded properly. You
MUST upgrade to 7.0.1P7 first, this will fix the control table and allow
the 7.5 upgrade. This was a bug that was fixed in patch7 of the 7.0.1
version.

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone is having installation issues specifically
toward the admintool for 7.6.
We have seen zero bites availible issues, and other issues with running
through the complete installation questions, then it starts to install and
at about the 1.5% (1.2 bars) it hangs
Glad to hear it. Yeah, I meant to say day but we use month here so...

Hi,
We are in the process of a new QA environment which should be a replica of
the production.
The approach we are trying to follow is image cloning. The servers are
virtual (VMs) and the OS is Solaris.
But we are not sure of the risks since it has not been done before.
Please somebody come up
If it were Windows, I would recommend against it (primarily due to all the
host-specific crap in the registry), but with Solaris, I would think that
you're probably OK, so long as any OS settings related to the original VM are
updated for the new copy. You next main task then is to update the

It could reference production data if you do not check your workflow for
hard-coded references.. For e.g. if a Table field has got a hard coded
reference of Production data, it could look up the wrong server.. The same
could happen with other workflow, like Set Field etc..

Actually there were two threads I think, one of which was server group

It discussed something almost specifically what you asked - copying one
environment to another which was a part of server groups.. Ignore the forms

Patrick - we ran into that exact same issue on 7.5 and it turned out
that we were installing on Windows 7 Server, 64-bit and it needed Patch
3 to install, but BMC also told us that for 7.5 the clients wouldn't
install on 64-bit machines, only 32-bit, so you may want to set up a
virtual XP
First, so long as you get any server- and database-specific references cleaned
up in the config files, you're probably most of the way there. As Joe said,
there may be workflow that references a specific server, depending on what you
have installed. One example of that is AIE (or EIE, if
I shouldn't see why this skill should pay any more or less than 7.5, if you
are looking for the same level of expertise as you would be on 7.5 as 7.6
has not too many changes from 7.5 (few new features). And 7.6 being just a
few months old, you would get someone who is fairly new to it anyways -

The installer is just a basic Java app, so I wouldn't expect hardening to be an

I think its more of a JVM issue. Do you have an old version running? I
remember I had a calculation issue of that sort once, but not quite sure
what I did to resolve it, but I wouldn't be surprised if I pointed JAVA_HOME

I set up a database driven solution to archive ITSM 7.x and 7.5
