SeanI will be adding this maybe in the next release of the development build.So no worries there.I didn't relize that some people don't use the mouse or such.ashleygrobler04I have no experience in BGT and never looked at the code and syntaxes.But the engine should be very easy to work with for anyone.That's why i want to release the source code once the game is done.This way you have a complete example of the content of making a game.For example in the source code:There's a folder named Scripts, with classes named to their respective maps in the Data / map directory.Each script simply loads the Triggers from the data folder.Then assigns them to the functions in the engine.In further development releases i will also release the Luna Stories Map Editor.This can be used of course for modifying maps.But also creating maps , addings sounds , assigning triggers.So basically you will be able to make your own maps and story so to say.In the end there's always going to be the development guide which will be included in the releases.And contains all the information needed to build your own game.Including modifying and creating your own functions in the source code.If you have any further questions please let me know.Ethan thanks for clarifying because i have no idea about BGT syntaxes or how it works.Regards,XSense

Hello everyone,Today's new release 0.1.3 contains the following.Fixed bug in NVDA Screenreader entrypoint issues.Fixed bug reloading binaural dsp when stopping sounds.Fixed Credits in ScreenManager.Fixed Map indication sound issues with sound positioning.Modified wooden footstep sounds running, walking, crouching.Also after this release.I will be releasing update files.Simply because they are not that big to download.I asume that everyone in this topic will know how to replace old files with new ones.So i wont have to create a patching system for it.As usually you will just simply download the update package extract it then copy and replace it in the main folder.lAgain this will be started from release 0.1.4Please test it out, and let me know if you encounter bugs.Also i have added some sounds for attacking objects.But i have not added this to the changelog since it needs more work.You can hear this when left clicking on the radio in the main map.The download link can be found in the first post.Regards,XSense

Hello Ethan,Back when i began this proejct i was browsing around on github for audio library's.So i came across one that sounded interesting.https://github.com/martindevans/SupersonicSoundSo i kept working with that one and never looked into any other library as you can imagine when it contains all i need then research time is pretty much done.And then its time to modify it to your liking.So when i was satisfied with that, i started looking into sound spatializing.And i came across Oculus Audio SDK.And implented that into the engine.Once implented, and finishing the classes for that library.I was pretty much pleased with the result of it.So until today i keep using those , while expanding the engine itself.Hope this answers your question.If not let me know.Regards,XSense

Released new version 0.1.2The first release was badly done sorry for this.I forget to re enable several functions in the engine before relasing it.However this is all fixed now.I have had reports that the NVDA has issues.So please test out the new version and let me know if you have errors or bugs.Also to get a good feeling of the audio try to turn on the radio in the starting map or the tv in the cabin.Kind Regards,XSense

defenderHello, thank you for the links.When i have more free time to really dig into it i will certainly take a look at themchprossHEllo i understand your question.I have used the Fmod c# wrapper port from github and modified several functions to make it work the way i intended it to work.I will put the direct link to their github project in the credits file when releasing.The rest of it with modifications are in my engine simple to use for example.Sounds.Manager.Play("SoundsName.mp3.wav.etc");The sound will automatically use the binaural system for each sound.So will the reverb effect.However in the folder Data/Map/Sounds/file.luna.You can set the position and attached value if its attached the sound will be set to the current character location and only reflect the enviroment reverb and related.Then modifying the sound etc can simply be done by the function i have made :var CurrentSound = Sounds.Manager.GetSound("Filename.wav.mp3.etc");CurrentSound.SoundChannel.FModChannel. etc etc.But i will document them all for developers of course.Regards,XSense

Hello,The Oculus Spacializer is a plugin for FMod.There are a lot of different types of the plugins but i am using the " Raw" version.Which means i can really dig into the low level system of it.And modify specific things to the engine.For example the Fmod full source code is inside the Audio Sphere / Luna Stories project.Meaning it's not a dll included in the reference but the source code directly editable.And this will alow developers to basically change anything they want in the engine itself.I am glad to hear that you are looking forward to the release.But i am not able to tell when it is going to be because still a lot of work has to be done in the game itself.The reason i want the game finished when releasing the source code.Is that the public will have a good example to start with.And hopefully teach new developers a thing or 2 while they look at it and modify it.But of course i will try to work as much as i can on the game.And be sure to check back in the topic.As i will release new dev builds and updated documentation for developers.So you can start looking at the file structure and learn about it so that you are prepared .Anyways if you have questions or suggestions they are always welcome.Regards,XSense

Hello, no problem glad i could help.To answer few of your questions.The  internal static  lineIs basically a variable, for example if i would add a text box using code.internal static TextBox MyBox {get; set;}Would be the same as adding it on the form but it would require a few more bits to make it show up on there.So using the definition we can call the tts to make something happen like speak.Its a bit confusing to explain but in short its a variable.And in this case its a variable pointing to the system.speech reference.For your next question.Why do i call it twice?The first one is inside the constructor.Where initialize is located.A constructor is basically the first thing that loads when you run the program.So Initializecomponents would load all the text boxes buttons etc on your form.So what i have added when the form is loading / initializing.Is basically to get all the installed voices and add them to the combo box on the form.The one in the bottom where i create another instance of it.Is to make sure that the speech synth is not null.When null it wont be able to do anything.So in case it would be null we create a new instance for it.This way it will be able to run the functions that you want.In this case set the voice and speak.If you need more advice or help.Or you want to learn some more be sure to contact me.I will try my best to give you a hand.Regards,XSense

I don't know if i have offended you in anyway if so then sorry.But if you read my post carefully.I state clearly that he should look into the details of the .NET Framework net library and study it so he can understand the functionality of it.There's a reason why c sharp is a managed language and not unmanaged , so you dont need to deal with all the low level management.So perhaps what you mis understood was that i mean he should not use library made by 3rd partys like you can find on codeproject or such.But to study the framework included in the .net framework.Anyways about programmers laughing in my face,I would say if that is what your perspective is of what i am saying then fine so be it.Everyone may have their own opinnion and as such so are you.Thats why i usually read twice and try to listen to what someone says before responding in a such a way.So let me try to make myself clear, since even  though my english should be readable , even  though its not my native language.To the poster of this topic.What i am trying to say in a helping way is.Try to study a bit on networking with the .net framework.A lot of it can be found on microsoft website it self.I would post my own client and server library's but i dont see how that would help you in the long term.The reason why i am saying is using other library's that 3rd party developers made.is that you might need a lot of different content for your project.Which would mean that eventually you would have to customize it to your needs.And when you reach that point you would have to know what function does what and how you can add more functionality to it.So to the poster again, i am not trying to be mean but just helpful.If i am not then please ignore my post.Since the best way to make something is to understand it.And if you have specific questions on implenting client / server communication in c sharp i will gladly help you in the spare time i have.Anyways i am going to leave this topic now.As i am getting pretty much annoyed by it.I will be available per email if you need help on creating a client and server.By the way just my personal opinnion.But whenever i create a game server / login server etc.I have done many for mmorpg's / emulation.What i do is i seperate the main server from other major server needs.For example:Login server would communicate for client login.The login server once a successful login is done would communicate the information towards the update server.Once that would be done it would communicate to the gameserver using a ipc server.That would grab the client and take over from the login server.Then the login server is not a main server so packet handling could be done seperatly for multiple purposes.Anyways just my 2 cents.Like i said i am leaving this topic now.So if you want to have my own client / server programming i can send it.Or if you want to learn more aboutit that you cant find online.Then i will try my best to help you out.If not , i wish you all the best on your project.RegardsXSense

Sorry, but i am having trouble understanding your reply.The only part i could understand and no offense ment.Is that you are saying that it's better to use a pre build library then creating your own?I would have to disagree on that.As each project has their own properties their own capabilitiesAnd building your own network client and server system has a lot more purpose.1: It teaches you how it actually works.2: You can learn what important steps for exploiting can be taken for example buffer overflows and so on.3: Copy and paste work is simply not effective what does it teach you?The network library in the .NET Framework has a lot of functions.Ones that you should understand how they work, if you don't then a lot of things would make you go back into the code to correct issues later.Of course this will happen anyways, but in y oppinnion.It is always better to have an understanding of it as well.Not only that but once you understand how packet traffic works you can then expand your knowledge for example.For encrypting traffic using custom or pre made algorythms.Which would make your network server and client secure.Anywaysy,Again i mean no offense but i am just trying to support another developer.By giving them pointers and a bit of a pat on the back saying you can do it.Regards,XSense

Hello Everyone,Introduction To Luna Stories:Luna Stories is going to be a 3d Binaural Audio Horror Game.The aim of the project is trying to make a extremely immersive audio game.This means that all the little details would have to match real life Physics and sound.The story:I do not want to spoil any story line yet.As the intention is to have the player experience it in their own ways.But i will let you know a little bit of it.You are Elyssa.A young 6 year old girl, that lost her father.But how did this happen and where are you?The Engine:Audio Sphere is my own game engine build from scratch.The engine has highly detailed configurations.So anyone withouth programming knowledge can build their own 3d binaural audio game.The engine will be open source once i finish Luna Stories Chapter 1: The Crimson Stone.What language is Audio Sphere:The engine is programmed in C Sharp.I have used the following library's for ease of use.OpenTK: For Multiple purposes including user input and openGL.FMOD: This is a port from c++ to c# for audio engine purposes.Oculus Spatializer: For binaural audio purposes..NET Framework 4.6.1: For mathmetical purposes i have used this version.Below you can read the Engine status.Completed Functionality:TTS Engine: Supports Windows Default, Jaws, NVDA.Physics Engine: Movement , Jumping, Crouching, Rotation, And Character States.Audio Engine: Using the Binaural system and modifying its values for realistic sound  in 3d.Object Collision: Character and objects can block movement and change the collision state.Dynamic Weather: The weather system includes Rain, Thunder, Wind these values can be set to None, Light, Medium, Heavy and changes dynamicaly.For example: When you have no roof above you the rain sounds directly on your head, but with a wooden roof you can hear it hit the roof.The same goes for the floor types, Sand, Water, Concrete and so on.Item System: Combining, Picking Up, Dropping, Equipping, Using.Inventory system: Where you can interact with the items you have.Map System: You can select points on the map once selected pressing the F key will make a sound direct you to its location.Compas System: Pressing C will open the compas, when rotating the player it will tell you the direction.Trigger System: Triggers are used for special events in the current map.For example: Warp a player to location, Turn on and off a switch, Open or close object and so on.Interface: Use W and S to navigate trough them the menu's are Main, Options, Pause and so on.Attack System: For attacking , Damage, Defense and related.In progress:The engine is always in progress.Small or major things could be added.And i have not listed everything above because it is a lot to say.Dynamic Engine:The engine i have programmed was with in mind that it has to be easy to create a game with.So for example the movement system has auto detection of floor type, envirement type and related.If for example you choose a map to have Grass as floor the foot step sounds will be those of walking in the grass.If the area is very small there will be almost no rever to it.And the sounds used for those footsteps can be simply replaced in the data folder for your own liking.These are highly detailed features another example would be.When you walk into a object the sound of walking into it can be customised so each object make their own sound and your character as well.There are way more details in the engine, but those will be in the Developers guide which will be included and worked on every update that i make.What to expect in the future?The project is free and will be open source in the future.As stated before the language is C Sharp.I will give some levels of support for other developers but i cannot make promises on how much support i can give.Due to having a lot of things going on in life as well.Free?Yes the project is free i have no wish to make money of it.Do i need help?Yes i am looking for voice actors.To make this game immersive Text to speech wont cut it.I am looking for the following.Female voice actress: Main character Elyssa.Male Voice Actor: Main Character (Father) .Both male and female voices for the Demons / Entity's in the game.What can you expect right now fomr the game?There is not much to play in the game.Becuase its a development release.This is for testing the engine and capabilities.Meaning, Testing the 3d sound, The actions you can do and so on.So do not expect to play a game right now.Expect just a small sandbox with functions to test.You can test:The start location contains a radio which you can turn on and off.You can use this to test the binaural sound.You can find a key on the map to unlock the gate in top of the map.Also when you have the key you can use the inventory system to see those functionalities.You can also hear the dynamic weather system.And in the cabin once you enter it, you cannot leave it.This is ment for the story plot

Hello there,First before i continue the reply just to let you know i am not trying to be mean in any way.But my first suggestion:Never use library's for networking.Most networking applications need custom specific actions and handling.So using a pre build library will limit you in the eventual project that you want it to be.So that means you would have to go back eventually and write your own networking library anyways.So that would be a bit double work.The best way to  handle this is to really learn what the low level system in .net can do for you.Starting from simply learning how the client and server functions interact with eachotherIncluding non blocking methods, Async calls and so on.To find out more in depth studies on this i would suggest google for the terms: Async client server c#This should get you in the right direction.If you want personal help, i can offer the spare time to help you out on specific points and helping on programming the functions you need.However like i said above and not trying to be mean.You will never learn from copy and paste but only by typing and understanding what the code does.So i know this is probably not very helpful in posting codes for you.But as a teacher in programming i tend to give more word information then code.It just takes time and  devotion to get what you need.Kind Regards,XSense

Hello, Yeah i am using a standart tts engine for now, the sound effects isnt a problem but its always good to have people test out the scenarios that i program for feedback suggestions and improvements , as in internal alpha testing. You can reach me on skype we can discuss this further. As for voice acting thats the only thing i really need and is on the highest priority since the rest is just adding the levels and content. Hello everyone, So it has been a while , due to personal reasons i was unable to do much, however as i stated to many contacts before i will continue the game. Hello,There is no need for screenreaders.As the game itself will be fully voiced.As you could hear in game when for example using the compas it will tell you whatever its rotation angle is.Each item, trigger etc will be voiced as well.As for the audio game engine, its a native windows application which any screenreader can read the input boxes.Regards,XSense

I have looked at the tool and i can imagine that it's petty had to use , but of course its always had when you have to create a 3d model , where you cannot feel the object.However this tool has give me some ideas.I am still thinking about how to go on about this, and i am sure i will take my time to do something before mking it.Keep the comments going the more ideas are put on the table the better it will be in the end.Thanks again.

Hey Guys,Yep making a editor indeed is timely.Multi layer perspective sounds like a reallyy good idea.That way a user can design all sides of that object.Which is something required of course in a 3d enviroment as you walk around it.So that helped on thinking how to implent a design for it.It's kinda hard since there needs to be  a way to "feel" what things look like.Still thinking how this could be done in a easy way...So people wont have to remember to much or listen to loads of lines for just a one side of an object.thanks for the suggestion and feedback so far guys.

Hey thanks so far for the feedback.As for the ascii system, this would be ok for a topdown game but not advanced enough for a full 3d enviroment where event chrouching matters .basically every object in the game is a 3d mesh so it has to be accounted for every point of that mesh.Example: A object with a small tunnel inside would alow you to crawl trough it.So the ascii would not work for this matter.I do appriciate the idea though.Right now  i think a proper way would be a editor but i still dont want to go down that road because i know how much work it is , so i am still hoping for more comments that might give more ideas on implenting this Thanks again.

A question regarding map editing for my engine.

Hello,So i am currently at the stage that i need to make a proper map system.Now i have tons of ways on how i could  achieve this.However i don't know what the easiest way would be for someone that would want to use the engine.For example:Hardcoding: This means you write the code within the engine.File: Using map files to build a map example the data file would contain://X , Z , Y , ObjectType, SurfaceType10,20,0,Wall,StoneLike i said there are tons of ways, but how would someone remember the whole map in their mind.Should i build a Map Editor so people can simply navigate and place objects ... Seems like a big hassle .Anyways the reasons are simple right now i am building the realism in the game while thinking of all tiny details.Example: When walking on grass while its raining light , is there a ro
 of above you so the steps sound dry instead of wet, what type is the ceiling when rain hits the object , is it wood, steel, leafs etc.So there are a lot of factors that come into play here.Suggestions are welcome,But in short i just want to know what would you think is best to edit the world maps / rooms with ?.Regards,XSense

Hello AGain,So today i lost my voice always nice right?Anyways slowly feeling better just takes a few days i guess.Anyways for the better news.I was able to do a bit of programming,And i have added a full movement system.I will explain below.Update:    Remove old movement system.    - Added all position types: Crouching , walking, Running.    - All different movement types have their own velocity, Height axis position etc.    - For example: Standing would place your head higher in the game then crouching etc.    - Added full mouse control to the character (You can now use the mouse as a mainstream game).    - The game now feels when moving like a game i used to play "First person games".    - Added jumping as well, this means you can jump on objects and so on.    - Added object collis
 sion (This means whenever you hit a object you will either stop moving, or the object will fall on the floor etc).Much more has been done but im going to rest a bit more now.I have not provided any source at the moment, as i want the next release to be something worth while.You can still play around with the old code, but i would suggest to ignore the movement parts as they will be gone.In short, you can now move like you would do in real life the 3d dimensions are all perfectly working including the sound around you.Till soon!Xsense

Thanks for the suggestion .However i allready wrote the whole puzle system , and content so i have a sort of TODO list.Which will be added on the source as well, The object collission and 3d movement will be working fine for anyone playing the game, as i will make the first room a tutorial level so to say.So people will be able to play this without issues.The engine itself "Source" is what im hoping that people will enjoy as well and inspire more people to build more mainstream type of games for the community .It's time to have everyone experience mainstream games as this will feel the same, including movement sounds, acheivements and more.And since this is chapter one , there will be a lot more chapters to follow up on this game 
 with a big twist .And i hope people will be able to use the mouse as i will implent it when looking up and down or when walking on top of a object and such.The idea is directional sound for example try this in real life.Walk around and listen to your steps, then look towards your feet, and keep listening then look up and listen to the differences.Im trying to make the 3dimensions work with audio not just left right front and back but also up and down.So down should be higher  volume then looking up when something happens on the ground and the other way around as well.For example if something is making a sound above you , when looking up it should get louder.Anyways, im going in to much detail here, i allready cleaned up  a lot of code for the next release, and addedd a few more features.I will make a proper topic "first

Again a fresh update,Below is more information.You now have footsteps while walking.You can walk as following:    W: Move Forward.    - S: Move Back.    - A: Turn Left.    - d: Turn Right.    - E: Do Action / Interact.    - I: Inventory.    - P: Pause Game.    - R: While in pause menu resumes game.The reason why i dont use Escape key and arrow keys.Is Because Jaws ScreenREader has issues while active it binds those keys heavily so XNA cant grab them.Now at this moment.    Added basic menu handlers.    - Added Test sound for 3d sound testing.    - Added Pause handler needs work though.    - Added several things just read the code .Anyw

Hello,So here's the plot of the game and some more information.The game itself will be multiple chapters.The first chapter is called Deja Vu.These games are based on my nightly nightmares since i always have them every night.And my goal is to simulate them as detailed as possible.So here's about chapter one: Deja Vu.You hear a voice from a little child, she is a young writer and is here to guide you .The reason she seems to talk to me is because i was able to see for 30 years, but suddenly became blind.She is able to tell me shortly what is around me, the rest is up to me.The story:I think im awake because i can't see anything, and usually in my dreams i can see images.The weird thing is that i hear a child talking to me.Am i going crazy? Am i still dreaming? What's going on?.I find myself in a large room she tells me to remember everything as good as possible.Because 
 when her vision is gone, weird sounds surround me.I just dont know what all the sounds are... And what i should do...But i do feel like someone else is in the room looking at me.Even weirder is that whenever i try to leave the room i am where i startedBut not everything is the same... What is my goal here am i stuck in life in a dark void?Or is there a way out... Still that feeling of dredd , someone is hereThat's the plot thus far for chapter one.There will be alot of chapters with a lot of different story's and actions.And this framework im building Luna stories will be easy to work with in the end to create new story's and build amazing games with

Hey guys,Thanks for the comments so far.As i thought myself this would be a nice feature.The options would be there of course to either disable or enable it.And of course to mute players.Also probably a hotkey for toggling it quickly on and off.I have allready implented this functionality, So it's possible to use a connected microphone on usb, or laptop integrated, or when you connect a headset to the xbox controller.Of course its not fully completed but the main functions are there and working fine.I still have to look into what compression methods are best for streaming so that people with lower speeds can use it.And not to mention the server can handle it properly as well.So far functionality.- Turn on / off microphone.- Select microphone from options.- Directional input ( When someone is standing left or right or front or back of you , you can hear where they are.).- Handling str
 eams and muting of players "saved in database".Thus far the above is done, but it requires a lot more for mainstream i think.Which is not a problem, i am just wondering if its worth putting time into it.

Its good to hear you had fun playing silkroad .Im sure that this game will be great fun when accesible The alpha time is not know.As for updates.The voice acting has begun which is great so we can implent realism instead of a sort of realistic tts engine.As for the game function i have made 2 major updates.One to the sound system which is First,The sound engine now uses speed velocity sound adjustment.Meaning when a horse passes by or and object or when your running fast.You can hear the surrounding sounds transform as it would in real life.Imagine a ambulance passing by in high speed you can hear the sound transform ,The game does the same now.As for in game updates.I have created a map system which is easy to use.When you press M on keyboard or the Back button on the Xbox controller.
 You will be presented with the map of the current world you are in.Then you get a list of surrounding objects on that map.Select an object and press Enter on keyboard or A on the Xbox controller.Then an indication sound will start playing letting you know where you should walk to.To turn the sound off again do the same action open the map and select the targetted object to disable the sound.More updates soon.Regards,Xsense

Hello ,I am not sure if i should have opened a new topic for this or used my main topic.If this should have been in my main topic, please merge this if possible.My qyestion is towards the players.If you would be in game would you like to have a option to enable microphone.Meaning when your close to other people you can directly speak to them instead of typing.What would you do, and yhes to prevent abuse i would include a mute function so you can mute players.Anyways im pretty curious if you would like something like this, since i have build the framework for it allready.A basic chat system would also be included for those that dont have a micrpohone or just wants to type.Kinds Regards,Xsense

Hello Everyone,sorry that my topics suddenly switch from a personal MMORPG to and existing mainstream one.However after great consideration of gameplay and fun and talking a lot to tons of my old players of Silkroad Online.It seems only best to continue on the path of re-creating this game and making it fully accesible.I have already began work on thiss game.And i know 100% about this game.As i played it for many years, and programmed bot systems and emulations for the server.Which mean i know it inside out.Below you can find all details about the project and its status.About the game:Silkroad Online is a MMORPG about the Triangle conflict on the silkroad trading route.You can become a powerfull Trader , Hunter or Thief.Your job will represent what you are.YAs a hunter you can protect Traders for reaching their destination.Andshare the Traded gold received from the trade.Traders can sit on
  their camels or horses and protect their trade as well.However Thiefs will be able to rob the traders from their items and sell them to the bandits.What path will you choose?Gameplay:You start by building your character, you can be a magician or a strong fighter.Or maybe both becoming the hybrid build.There are many classes you can become, see below for the listening.Skill Masteries:- Fire- Lightning- Cold- ForceWeapon Masteries:- Bicheon (Bow skills).- Spear-Heuksal (Spear and glavie skills).- SwordAnd Shield The above are the matery's available.And they all contain lots of skills to improve your character with (buffs) skills that increase your parry, speed etc.If you wish to have a full describtion i would suggest to google for Silkroad Online.As i cannot post everything about the game.Below you can find the progress of the server and client so far.C

 It has one of the best interactive elements in a mmorpg that i have seen.The Trading system and party system, hutning unique monsters and get great items!Its always fun, it's hard to explain until you played it yourself.TimeLine:There is no timeline set for alpha testing, nor for when it will be ready for the big crowd.However i will put daily time and effort in programming this for everyone.I am not asking anything from anyone, i just want to provide something really fun and Exciting.What would i like to have?- Voice actors.- Suggestions and patience.That's all,I have always been very dedicated to what i choose to do.And this is nothing less, i will continue this project on a daily base when my kids are sleeping .So like i said i dont know when the internal alpha will begin, but i can p

No i did not work for joymax.However i fully emulated their server, including all functions and mathmetics.As in object collision map entry's.From login upto guild managment and so on.And since your a fan like me,I think you will also enjoy my accssible version of this game.Its not hard to program it just time is what it takes .Anyways, if you could close this topic that would be nice.I will continue in my silkroad topic as in my oppinnion its way better its a great game so why not make it work for all of us right?Regards,Xsense

Well i am saving it in a backup .So the future will tell, its pretty far allready so its just adding features and optimizing not major work just time consuming.However probably id continue it at some point.And if others are still interested as well who knows i might combine the time programming silkroad as well as tradian .I agree that a farming game is great , but out of personal experience its faster to make silkroad.On tradian i have to think up how mechanics would go along with other mechanics meaning that id have to think up all of the features and how they work.And with silkroad i already know all of it so its litterally blind programming.Because for programming it i dont really have to think to much its like a second language which helps greatly.But still its great to hear that this concept is liked by you and others.This
  means that i was right on the point of what is wanted and needed .Otherwise just keep spamming me about it lol Spammers have a influence on me its a weak point haha .Greetings,Xsense

It's always fun beeing an NPC Anyways all the help in voices are welcome, the more the better as the quests and npc's etc will require a lot of audio.I will talk to him regarding that when i get the chance.Sounds interesting .It's great to hear more people played this game, how was your experience on it ?The fun thing is they used to have an auto select target option which would auto target monsters i guess thats a big help in that game as well.

Movement Versus Static ?

Hello Everyone,So as my topic title states Movement Versus Static.I have been dabbling in my mind and in practiceon how it would be best for a blind player to navigate through a world.We have 3d audio , which is great but maybe it is just me but it is still hard to navigate around through worlds.Even when you have a map in your mind and where all objects are located.It is easy to get stuck moving around to get to a certain point.Hence why i am daabling around with static.Static method.Example Teleporting.Simply move to points on the map using direct coordinates by selection.For example: Visit The Storage Keeper.When selecting an option like that you would be in front of that selected object / npc.Which makes moving around a lot more effecient but would limit free roaming.So my question , what would you prefer and why ?Are there good solutions or ideas for a movement system?For an rpg i
  would actually after teleporting put a player in a location where there are no objects but mearly monsters and some ground changes.Which would make them find and attack a lot easier.Or use random encounters like the pokemon game does.Walk around in a forest and randomly encountering monsters.Any Thoughts ?

Tanks for all the feedback so far.i find it hard to quote everyone by post but here is my reply however i will post the answers below you know who its ment for .leveling aspect is already in the system.you level your character and unlock certain parts of the game when leveling.More details will come about this.yes i would like more voice actors that can either speak native english or sound good as my own accent will sound dutch to everyone.To contact me on skype my id: xsense29 the main part i  would like a  voice for instead of an internal tts enginem would be for the tutorials and certain parts of ingame text example: you have received a new message please press M  to open your inbox.Things like this would be great with voice acting as it would bring more realism to it.please ontact me on skype so we can have

Hello Again,First of all thank you for the welcome appriciate that.It has been 10months now since i became blind, at new years night.I lost one complete eye which could not be fixed anymore, and the other was put back together however is heavily damaged to the point where i only have a bit of light when the sun is shining or big lights are on.So i am waiting for my surgeon ok when they are ready for regenerative therapy.(Stemcel injection).I wont write the whole thing here since its probably boring for most people , and not really the point either .As for silkroad online i havent programmed for it since a while i suppose around 2/3 years ago was the last time.I was looking into re-programming the emulator but i would require a sighted person for sniffing packets, doing actions and so on so not really a thing to do at the moment.I disovered this website when things settled down a bit after all the surgery's.First i only read trough the website and not the forum .Which i desided do dive into just recently since i noticed the lack of mmo for blind people.Not just that but me and a small team are developing a new tablet and custom android mod which has a feel screen as we call it.Basically people can open the camera and just point the device at any point in front of them and they can feel shapes of objects in front of them so bumping into things and feeling everything would be in the past.Its a long project but in the end pretty cool.Aside from that like i said i noticed when i wanted to play games most games are not compatible for visual imperred people.And most games are based on horror or similair things like a story where you make choices along the story.Nothing really that stood out and said like ok this is awesome id love to play this.The o
 nly game i found compatible online was lords and knights and one handfull of such games.However those are pretty boring as well , not to be a downer but thats how i felt when playing them.The other thing that stood out to me on this forum instantly was,How helpful people here are and how friendly they are.They want to really get together and get things done, and have fun while doing so it seems .Which made me sign up and post my personal projects Thanks again for the welcome.Regards,Xsense

Hello There,This is in general a good topic for those that are not familiair with the situation.From personal experience i can list the below what happened to me.When i still had sight i ran a very big mmo game emulation called Silkroad Online.I had a constant of 1 players online, and most were young kids that wanted the best weapons and items.If they didnt they would kill other players for fun and flame constant against other people here are some examples .- If you dont help me i will hack your server.- I hate you you ugly  you can think of what he said.- And loads more.However not just players do this , i have had many people in my team that gavee players items and such, which caused me to banish them from the team of course.And their response was not to happy as you can imagine.So a heads up its not just the players but it can also be the people on the team.

Hello Everyone,First of all a short introduction about myself and goals.My name as stated is Xsense.I am an advanced programmer who became blind a year ago .Since then i have been looking for something to give to others in the same situation that enjoy gaming. I have been looking at games all around the web, and found that most audio game based are survival horror and such.There are a few different ones but they are in my opinnion limited.I am developing one of those games in 3d binoral sound myself based of my own story with a horror twist.However this project is not on a high priority and will be done whenever i feel like programming for it .Now for the main topic as my title states, i am buildina MMO game called Tradian.This game is a online Trading / Farming / Building simulation game.The background story:
 You have entered into the medieval town of Tradian.You only have a few bronze coins.And a piece of bread and a bottle of water.It might not seem much you think.However you have a great brain with great ideas and a plan.What if i would buy a rod for fishing so i can catch and sell fish or better yet eat it!Or what if i would buy a necklace and  sell it in another town?.I have so many ideas to create my own future.I just need to do it!About the game:The game is in constant development.And will be online soon.This is not a web based game but a windows game.It will require you to install .net framework 4.5.I am programming this game in c# with a 3d audio game engine that i have build from the ground up.Please see features below for information on the alpha release.Features:- Interact with other players through  chat / messages).- Trade with other players.- 
 Buy and sell land.- Build homes - Trade itesm or sell and buy them on the Market.- Walk through the city and discover new places.- Play mini games to find treasures.- Mine for coins and other valuable items.- Learn and upgrade skills (Example: Farming, Mining, Fishing, Thiefing etc).+ A lot more features.What to expect?Well i wanna build a world where all blind gamers can come and enjoy an immersive world where they can be what they choose to be.And at the same time enjoy playing with friends.Development status:Currently this is an internal alpha stage.Which means me and close personal friends are able to join the server.At the moment i am programming a party system where you can create a party or join one to farm for precious metals.And also i am still working out bugs in the 3d audio system.Like i said its a constant development project.But so far it is looking really nice, and
