microsoft is forcing the autoupdates without permission now. Everybody freaked out when they threatened to take it away in August, so they let it go until November with another freak out, probably just to make people want to update by november, and now that it is 2019

@9 that is an interesting view. I did not think about ocr support, or scripting. THere are apple scripts you can write for voiceover, however I do not know anything about them, and from my knowledge they are more for checking status than an add-on.

I only have experience with nvda on windows, narrator, and voiceover on both iOS and mac OS. I agree that apple has stopped caring, and that is going to turn on them when blind and low vision users have much better options where they can give feedback

Children are definitely a different audience than adults. I admire their curiosity and answer any questions they have. I do like to inform people, but I am still very resistant against accepting blindness, so sometimes answering questions is uncomfortable.
