I need help finding a certain text to speech voice.

There is this really funny robotic text to speech voice for windows called Colossus. It sounds like a literal robot. It is not festival, but many Youtubers use the voice. It is the same voice used in Microsoft Sam in the war against eloquence. Could someone please give me a link or tell me where I can download this voice pack with all the funny synthesizers? @8 You have done this in 2018, or whenever that battery program was available because of a fault in iOS 11 I think that was. Apple did a battery replacement program for 30 dollars instead of 80 for this iOS11 bug that affected the batteries. However normally batteries cost 80 dollars if you do it officially. You can find many copies and high copies but I don't recommend opening your phone in any place other than an official retailer or Apple store, since they do really steel parts, it did happen in my experience with iPhone 5S. I think they have stolen my processor or something, because my battery back then was swollen to the point that it popped the screen out,, and after I replaced it in one of these unofficial places since the phone was old anyway, it got totally damaged and started going in restart loops very frequently, until it stopped working at all, and before it did after only a 2 months usage the battery was damaged, and the screen started to pop out again.

Maybe it's a good intermediate for people who need it?With touch typing, the hardest part is keeping your finger steady enough on the screen (more on that later). And the trick to that is practice. Some people naturally are better at it than others. Overall I'd say I'm pretty good, but practice helped me a lot too. I've heard people claim they can reach epic touch typing speeds but I don't see how (fastest I usually go is like 30 words a minute or something), but for typing short messages of a few words it's fast enough for me.If I need to type a long message, braille screen input is definitely my friend. I'm not sure if it's faster than a sighted person, but it's definitely a lot closer at any rate. By default it'll use UEB code I believe, but some prefer grade 1 and others like me prefer the good 'ol grade 2 system. I forget exactly where you change that, but it's possible to change.As for feeling the dots, no the dots don't give you any tactile feedback. However, there's a wonderful feature of Braille Screen Input nobody has mentioned which is the dot calibration. Using this, you don't need to find the dots, the phone finds your fingers instead.I'll explain: When you enter braille screen input, Voice Over should tell you how to calibrate it. But basically you press dots 4 5 6 together then release them, then press dots 1 2 3 together and release. Then the phone will learn where your fingers naturally fall when you type braille. It will remember this positioning too so if you later leave Braille screen Input and come back, chances are you won't need to recalibrate if your hands naturally fall on a certain place on the screen. You can, though, if needed, recalibrate again, and occasionally I have to do this, though with my new phone and later IOS versions I have to calibrate far less often than I used to. Either I'm better at it now, or they've improved it. Come to think of it, I think I've only had to calibrate my IPhone XS once. I do, however, keep typing echo turned on and will adjust my fingers ever so slightly if I seem to be vertically displacing things (often I type dot 1 instead of dot 2 for example).Again, though, braille screen input requires both hands be steady, and some people I've heard just can't make headway with it. I never had a problem with it, but maybe you're one of the unlucky ones who do. Also, it's worth noting that in braille screen input, you can either set the phone flat on a table to type, or hold it vertically with the screen facing away from you. I have never, ever used the flat orientation though, it's always been easier for me to hold it in my hands.Finally you mentioned that when you try to keep your finger steady, it moves on you. First off I think you'll get better at steadiness with time. Touch typing especially will help with that if you practice.Other than that, though, there is a huge trick which hasn't been mentioned yet. When you're first starting out with IOS or a new app and you just want to see what's in it, I wouldn't worry about the screen layout so much. Instead, just touch the top left hand corner of the screen to get VoiceOver near the top (don't aim for the status bar, but slightly below it), and then simply swipe to move Voice Over through the items. Swiping basically means flicking or swiping your finger quickly to the right or left

I would advise you to practise as much as you can these days because it will eventually be easier for you to work on the touch screen. At this stage, avoid the use of Siri or dictation because it will really help you improve your performance on the phone.

Yeah... Depending on what version your phone is you should get a new phone. If it's like an iPhone 6S or SE, you should just spend the extra and get a newer model... However if it's an iPhone 10 or newer I'd especially say just get your battery replaced.

Fare enough. Also the other thing about the screen being extremely sensitive.  Sometimes my hand inadvertently moves slightly up because it's very difficult to hold your hand in one position for far far too long. For example if I go to the bottom my hand accedentily moves up and then I might lose the character field e.g. it might to compose to or some other field. Any suggestions?

This is hard! Now I'm facing a problem. When I swipe from side to side on the phone it doesn't always go where I want it to go because my hand inadvertently goes up and down because it's very difficult for me to keep my hand in one position. So say I intend to be at the bottom my hand might slightly move up.Any advice?

There is nothing to feel there mate, that's a touch screen, and it's not a braille display. You should understand how the position of the dots is layed out on the screen cause that's the way you are going to work with the screen. In any way, you should have an idea of the organisation of the elements on the screen. IF you have a QWERTY virtual keyboard, you should be able to assume and guess where the letters are situated, and with practice the spead of your writing on the iPhone will improve significantly. Using the braille screen input, you will compete with sighted users if you can properly get a hang of it.Then again, as I began to say, you should gradually get to know the layout or the rendition of elements on a screen of different applications you will use in a daily basis. For instance, the tabs where you can see different sections of an app are almost always located at the bottom of the screen, and the back button is always located at the top. Communications apps will always have an edit field which should be located somewhere in the middle of the screen and a send button to the right of the edit field. The keyboard is always found at the bottom.

JJ, I get what you're saying. In actual fact I wasn't expecting dots to appear on the screen but I understand it now.Regarding dictation, my problem was not dictating something per see, but more to do with non English words. For example, if I say "Hey Umar, what are you doing?" Now we have a problem because Umar is an arabic name, not an english name. If I say hey U M A R, it will just say it as you see. Also with dictation if you want to make a foolstop what do you do? Do you say period?

Erm how would you be able to feel dots on a touch screen? I get that you're new to the touch screen experience, but you have to be logical. I never simularly to a brailler. Also dictation is good, however if you have a non american/english accent it may struggle to pick up what you're saying correctly. Something to be mindful of there ed the braille imnput, but from what I'm seeing here you have to try and imagine the layout sim

You have to imagine how the keys would be laid out. As I said earlier, index, middle and ring finger of left hand are dots 1 2 and 3, and right index, middle finger and ring are dots 4 5 and 6. You would press them at the same time, for the letter l you would tap all three fingers of your left hand, the letter g would be both index and middle fingers of each hand etc.Regarding touch tiping, you have to imagine that the lower half of your iphone is a keyboard. Slide your finger around and you will hear the letters you pass over being spoken. When you are on the letter you want to imput just lift your finger of the screen and the letter will be written. Doing it is much easier than explaining it so just practice and I am sure you will manage both modes in no time.

Hi,Dictation works really well on an iPhone, although I do have a wireless keyboard at home and if texting or sending messages via SKIPE or messenger  whilst at home from my iPhone I’ll tend to use the wireless keyboard. if I’m out and therefore not with my wireless  keyboard and I need to send a big text or message I’ll just use dictation , even with really long messages it will get it almost word perfect each time.  There are two methods for accessing dictation, the one already mentioned here is to tap the dictate button to the left of the on screen keyboard, but what I find a quicker technique is when focus is in an edit  field  (where the typed text appears), if you just do a two finger double tap it automatically starts dictation, do the same when finished dictating. This works in any edit field, including third party apps too. oh and also I find Siri works really well, it can be used for opening apps, controlling some apps too (I have a YouTube music subscription and I can just ask Siri to start playing a specific artist, playlist , song etc, which is a lot faster than searching the app using voiceover), lots of other really useful stuff Siri can do too. Okay, so let's go through option 1 and 2.1. Touch typing. Yes, I know the Qwerty keyboard ona computer or similar device, but how would I know that on a phone since there are no buttons?Option 2. The brail option. How does that work? So I enable brail.Let's say I go to text say, John with the following messege: "Hey John, how are you doing? Remember those important documents?" I know how to write in brail, that's not the problem. But how do you do it on a phone? Will I automaticly feel the dots on the screen like feeling it on paper? So say I wanted to write the letter r, which are dots 1, 2, 3, 5 do I have to press them all at once like on a Brailnote or a Perkins or all separately?

In order to tipe faster I suggest you try the following options. Activate in the voice over rotor the option called touch tiping. When touch tiping, all you have to do is explore the screen with your finger untill you are on the letter that you want then lift the finger and the letter will be inserted, this elliminates the need to double tap. If you know how a querty keyboard is laid out you can write pretty fast because your finger will land really close to the letter you want, sometimes right on it.There is an even faster way to write but you must know braille. Select braille screen imput to be added to your rotor and when you must write something switch to it. Hold the phone with the screen facing away from you, between the thumb and pinky of each hand and write with the other fingers. The stile is similar to the one used by tipe writers, left index is dot 1, left middle finger is dot 2 etc. This mode will seem difficult at first but after you get the hang of it you will be able to write very fast. You can also use dictation to imput text, and you can imput punctuation too if you know the correct wording for it. On any text, you will find a button called dictate. Double tap that, say the text and double tap again to end dictation. I don't use this mode that much though, maybe other forum members can help you with this if you have more questions.

Need help about texting on iphone

Hi everyone,Hope you are doing well!I'm running into a major issue on my iphone. Basically I haen't really used a touch screen phone that much - I used to huse a nokia n73 but talks is now gone, and the other version I have, wel suffice it to say it is broken. So I decided to switch to an iphone because it's apparently very good. So several questions.1. How good is Siri on the iphone? I heard it has some problems? Does a blind person have to use it?2. I know the Iphone has voice over, however the issue is I don't know how to text on it properly. For example I was doing a practice messege. I rote "Hello" by cycling through each letter by letter such as a, b, c, d, h and then double tapping, until I got the word "Hello." As it stands it took me 15 minutes just to write that word. Now this is a problem because you can't always use seary or a wireless keyboard to text.Say for example I'm going to work and I need to write a texgt messege to my work partner John as follows: "Hey John, hope you are doing well. Remember today we've got that meeting with Mr. Bartleby? Make sure you bring those documents that the Boss told us to bring. Cheers!" How would I do that in just a few seconds on the iphone? How would I do that with Siri with all the punctuation marks like the comma included? Also say I'm texting someone with a non English name such ttext "Mahmut, ahmad, Umar," how would I do that? There's a thing in settings under battery. Click settings, go down to battery, and then battery health.There, you can see how your battery is functioning. Below 80 percent capacity is where I'd start to worry personally.

Need help about my phone again

Hi guys.So today I came back to my I Phone that was laying on my desk, to find it lagging. Now that was a bit strange for me so I just did nothing but then it powered off itself and powered back on, and it did that one more time in the next 5 minutes. It's stable now, but I think the battery is at fault. How can I make sure that it is that. I don't think it is swallen, or at least maybe I'm dumm and can't feel it. So please help.

Need help with Entombed

Hello all,I messed up and accidentally selected window eyes as my screen reader instead of SAPI in my entombed settings. Since then, Entombed hasn't opened again. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, tried running both before and after the update patch, and nothing. I even deleted the registry key associated with Entombed in hopes that the settings would go back to normal, and still no. I looked in my appdata folders all of then, and I couldn't find anything there to delete to reset. Lastly, ProgramData had a settings file, which I replaced with the settings file of a friend. Entombed still wouldn't open. It was working fine before I messed u my screen reader setting. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? I'd love to continue playing but at this point, I'm quite stuck. Thanks!

Well, generally if a device wants or needs whatever it is, there is usually a prevision for it.Windows doesn't like if something is not in the right place.Thats good for security, etc but if you are doing task x, you could simply supress notifications from the app in question.Its why I havn't disabled windows defender notifications but I have done that for a few apps which pump out their notifications for various things I do when I do them.They are telling me I have done that thing but since I do it regularly I allready know I am doing those things so its ok.At the same time I wouldn't disable things stupidly because you may need them later.Notifications are there so you don't lose track, but if you plug and unplug all the time you will get sick of them.I have thought about autoplay but to be honest that is the only way to know if the device is ready to role or not so I don't.

I'm kind of at a loss, but it would help to know what steps you took to get the mic set up. In theory, this should be a plug and play type deal, but I've never seen a USB headset with a detachable mic before. It sounds like the control panel app that conexant is using is no longer detecting your sound card, and I'm thinking it's likely to have something to do with whatever was done to make the USB headset work.

Then Apply, Okay, and Reboot.If this doesn't work,  try checking your audio drivers, troubleshoot, or update, or repair, whatever works.If still not fixed, try to change your default audio driver.That's all I could offer.

Hi, all,A few hours ago, I was on discord listening to someone stream Undead Assault. I wanted to join the voice channel, so I did. It took forever, but I finally got myself set up using my HyperX Revolver 1S headset, which has its own mic. This is a USB plug-and-play headset, that's a couple years old now. I use the headset every day, with absolutely no problems, but I haven't had occasion to use the mic in awhile, and it's detachable, so I've kept it detached when not in use.Unfortunately, I'm now experiencing a little pop-up that's easy to dismiss, but which will come back one to two minutes later no matter what I do. It's labelled "Smart Audio", and it says:A Conexant audio device could not be found. The application will now close.I tried muting my laptop's internal mic to see if that would work, but it doesn't. I'm not used to mucking about with drivers, but am happy to do it if I have specific instructions. I'm just not sure what broke and how to fix it.The only good news is that now my headset's mic works as soon as I plug it in and fire up Discord. But if this is the price I had to pay, it's...kind of annoying.Looking for help in solving this problem. Whether it's disabling something, updating drivers, or finding some back-door hack, I'll take any and all advice. hello, So i were just messing with python on mac for a bit, And then thought about compiling, It compiles, However i get a weird problem when running the compiled file, It says something like this, Searched and some results says that i must use pythonw but i didn't find it in the installed version of python and i tried deleting it and downloading the python newest version from the website but still, Same, And i tried compiling with pyinstaller and cx_freeze and still same, The error i get isThis program needs access to the screen. Please run with a Frameworkbuild of python, and only when you are logged in on the main displayof your Mac.so does anyone know how can i get pythonw or anyway to fix this issue?

It will play right away. If it doesn't, it means that there is padding on your file, which you will need to edit away, or you have a laggy setup, which I recommend fixing by setting your audio system to wasapi in preferences > devices and setting the block size to 256. Some systems can push it lower, but that's a good starting point.Well, the thing is, better samplers require you to actually make the samples yourself. I tend to like Sforzando by Plogue, but it means that you need to look up the sfz spec, and make a text file. You have to define each sample, where it spans on the keyboard, etc.Yes, Reapack is a thing you download, then in Reaper, you will get the ability to browse and download scripts that people make. It's quite useful, especially in your use case as one of those scripts allows you to pull something you've got sitting on your timeline into an RS5K track.

Hm I mean if there's something better to use what recommendations would you have?  With something else would I have the same problem with it not playing right away or does it depend on the sampler.  I'm totally new to this if you can't tell XD also what is Rea pack, is it something you need to download or is it built in to Reaper.  Tbh a different sampler sounds like a better way to go though, if there's a fully or close to fully accessible one out there already.

I mean yeah, there are far better samplers out there, but for what RS5K does, it's not bad. There's also a way using scripts which you can find by browsing through Reapack that will take any item loaded into reaper, and consolidate it into an RS5K track that starts working immediately.There is no need to use the mouse or anything like that, and it's fully accessible. Loaded samples will start to play immediately after imported using the browse button. However, you will need to find the mode and set it to custom freely shiftable or something like that - I can't remember the exact wording - and it will behave as you would expect.

Rea Samplomatic 5000, Need Help with Setup

I just started diving into using loops and samples, and I've been looking up tutorials on how to use ReaSamplomatic 5000.  It was a major headache figuring out how to get a sample into the plug in but I figured that part out.  Now, I can click with the mouse a button labeled "Custom 1" and the sample I loaded plays, but  trying the midi keyboard to play them doesn't work, and when I tried to record by clicking that custom 1 button it also didn't record, and never plays when I try to record.  Am I missing something here?  Is this like a half accessible thing, because I don't know why it isn't triggering when I hit any button like I've seen it work on people's videos.  Do I need to configure something else?  Or, is there an easier sampler VST I could use for this.  Any help would be appreciated.  I bought a few loops and it's frustrating not being able to use them.

well, you're right in a way. So yeah, c# dlls don't export what we call real functions from the perspective of native code and native linking methods because they don't have a **normal** import address table, global symbol table, or whatever else. Sorry for any terminology mistakes there, I am too tired to check references and format specs.Yeah, normally this shouldn't be even possible, as the clr isn't made for this kind of thing, but the procedure I linked above manages this by modifying  the dll file directly to add the marked functions to the import table, like it happens with normal, native dlls. Plus, it doesn't add the address where the clr begins directly, but it points to an autogenerated/premade stub assembly function that actually takes care of transfering data to and from the real managed function/method.and yes, the dll contains the symbols required to identify methods, after all, ildasm interprets them correctly, plus gets the overall structure of a class pretty accurately.problem with all that nuget package does is the fakt it just works like magic...and when it doesn't, oops, good luck fixing it! you know, this is kind of the same as entity framework for data management. Many people say use it because it's simple to get started with it, but I say don't use it because it involves something I call magical it just works and it's going to work fine, I don't say no. But when it fails, good luck tracking it down and trying to fix it.And, as many people said before me, this is not a good idea at all, but I am still willing to give the man the pistol if they really want to kill themselfs, instead of begging others for it and when they use it, they die even more slowly and horibly because it had poisonous bullets or something. Won't you do the same? so, if they want to bite the bullet, I gave them the opportunity to do it, though I adviced and warned multiple times against it, so I consider I did my part.

C# DLLs are literally Assemblies.  They don't expose functions of a DLL in the normal way.  Example:using System;

public static extern void SetWindowText(int hWnd, String text);That should show how different the DLLs are.  If you want to call them from something that's not C#/VB/C++-CLI, best of luck.

OK, so to clear things up a bityeah, bgt can't in any way, form or shape access dll structs reliably. Note here that I say reliably because, as my previous posts on the matter show, it's possible, but in a very hacky and horible way which I won't recommend to try, even to my most vicious enemies.now, about a dll written in c# being accessed from any non .net language, I'd suggest you better forget about it. As @camlorn said, you should better try to implement a unix stile socket for the separate c# executable to communicate the required data to the main application, piping the stdin and stdout through it. I guess the windows specific version of this is a named pipe? I am really not sure anymore, to be honest.If you, however, really want to bite the bullet and try making a c# dll be called by other programs, there is a way, though I can't write in words just how much I disscourage even thinking of it, like, if you want to do such a thing, better do us all a favour and go learn rust or something. Let's say that I'm putting this here just for completeness sake, kind of just for giggles. So kids, don't try this at home! lolso, this is basically a thing where you tag your function with a DllExport attribute, like you would do in normal p-invoke, I guess that's what you were refering to with reverse p-invoke, @14.For the curious, this adds x86/64 assembly in your c# dll, starting from the fakt that a c# dll is not so different from a regular one written in c++ or something like that. So, I guess it wraps your function in some custom assembly to manually load some clr thing, then pass controll to it with the recieved parameters from unmanaged code, if I remember correctly.Limitations:As with anything in this world, there are some limitations, some obvious, some not.1. No recurssion. I sincerely don't know why is it so, but I guess that due to the way the function got called, it doesn't know its own address, so can't call itself.2. Only x86/64. Because only this kind of assembly is supported by the author, it won't work by just changing to any cpu and end of the problem.3. I guess it only supports .net framework, but because of what you're using that for, I guess that's not so big a problem if you were willing to jump to this in the first place.4. The only relevant info I found about it is three or four years old. You can't easily wrap a C# DLL in anything, last I checked.  C# and C/C++ are very different things, and C# needs the entire .net Runtime to be, well, running.  If you need to call C# from other languages, you will need to look into implementing a COM object, which almost requires a custom installer so that you can register it in the registry to even work.  Also, that'll only work on Windows, for Linux or Mac you'll have to use something else, probably a Unix socket.

Even if not, this is a good approach to follow if the struct is something heavy and memory consuming, like a file, image, socket, physics related things like solid bodies, etc.bool vector_free(struct rotate_2d_vector *vec){return free(vec);}and keep in mind you'd need to do something like this, perhaps minus the freeing function,every...fucking...time...you need to expose structs to bgt. Now, remember I said this trick only works for somewhat simple C API's with relatively flat and simple structs like I've shown you. But now, try to imagine you have something like this:typedef struct{float radius;point center; //assume we defined the point struct earlyer in this file or in some other included file}circle;typedef struct{engine_type type;int hp;circle wheels[4];} car;imagine trying to wrap that monstrosity, can you do it like I did the previous example? now, really think about that, OK?Enough said. Streaming sounds crash it.  You can't call C libraries really, because every interesting C libraries uses features the FFI thing doesn't support, so forget extending it.  The tutorials with it barely even cover the language, and the language itself is immature, niche, and buggy.but hey, if you're fine with "please add an antivirus exception for my game" and it just going really downhill from there, by all means.  We cant stop you.  It's arguably good for beginners, but it's terrible for anyone who even has the slightest clue about programming and the consequence of using it as a beginner is that everything outside of it is like a giant slap to the face because BGT doesn't leave you prepared to move on.

Also i can connect from simple python client and from simple c++ client.Swift here is just an alternative to c++, which is difficult to learn for beginers. BTW, for networking i use BlueSocket, which is fully supported on all apple systems and is fully compatible with linux.

And to add to the potential issues, you'll have to likely roll you own security layer, because the native BGT implementation uses some weird variant of Rijndael (or at least i was not able to reproduce its results even if i knew the password and data).

Also, if we're on this topic, there's another ticking time bomb under BGT anyway.  IPV6 rollout is nearing completion.  There's already some small number of ISPs that only give out IPV6 addresses.  Enet is for some reason very adverse to adding IPV6 support.  It's actually a good library by all accounts, but you have to use forks for IPV6.  It's not possible to fork the one in BGT, so even if you get it working BGT won't be able to connect as soon as blind people start not having IPV4 addresses.  I'd say this will happen in the next 5 years at most, starting with phones and users who tether; there's a reason Apple requires it for the app store, let's put it that way.  There'll be compatibility layers and stuff for a while, but whether you'll be able to funnel custom UDP protocols over them is anyone's guess.

yeah, And seriously though, Bgt's networking is the easiest networking thing I've scene, It's like, Vary easy, You just read the manual, and there you goand also, @2, I know of one person that managed to do bgt networking with a fps and he didn't use any external dll, He just used bass because bgt's sound system is fucked, But i dout that he links something with the networking, But who knows, And that thing seriously doesn't lagg like other bgt shit, Even by spamming stuff it doesn't, So there's ways to do it if you are smart enough, But still.
