Is the cache clearing ability still a part of the console application? If so, that would be something it can do that hasn't been made a part of the web application. What about the ability to set up the server to run as a Windows service? That also can't be done from the web app.

This might be something to remember, though, the next time someone reports that their scan is taking many hours to complete with the new scanner. I'm guessing its not the scanner, but the SQLite engine. I'm going to see if I can reproduce it with some additional debugging enabled.

FWIW, I've downloaded and installed today's (Aug 12) nightly and am running it on Windows Server 2003 (not R2) with no problems. I don't run MS DNS on this machine, however. I do run BIND, but there are no port conflicts with Squeezebox Server.

I figured it somehow needed to be registered on SN first. Couldn't see anything in settings that would let me do that. So I completely uninstalled, then re-installed. Now, same as everyone else, it does nothing. Never runs. Nothing in Windows Task M
