I'm not sure if I can understand your question. Is it something like this cfif isdefined(FORM.Send2Pop) -- pop up a small window... cfwindow... source=popMeUp.cfm/ /cfif -- main window cfwindow... ... cfform action=#CGI.script_name# method=post e1 e2... input type=submit

Thanks for the thought, Mike, I've tried this route before to no avail. Don Don, Go into the security center - click on the windows firewall and turn it off (as a test). If your connects work after that you will need to work at unblocking them before you get the FW turned back on again. -Mark

Thanks for the idea, Casey, I've added the 'IUSER' account for the folder that has the Access db in to no avail. Don IUser needs read write modify permissions to folder containing access databases. Then same for all databases in that folder. Casey

Thanks for the thought, Brad, yes, I'm using the convention of domain\instance for sql server 2005 while localhost:{port#} for sql server 2000. They worked fine with cf8 previously. Just a thought, but you aren't by chance using SQL server instances, are you? We had some problems connecting

I think I'm a bit confused. What _exactly_ are you trying to do? You say you want to pass a url param to the parent. Are you saying you want a child window to send the parent somewhere else? Or you just want to pass a value in JS to the parent? I'm confused. On Dec 27, 2007 9:37 AM, D Hi Ray,
