Hi larry. I put a knob of butter into the saucepan and I prefer its flavour to that of oil. Heat the pot to a medium heat then add the corn kernels. When you think all corn is popped, remove it from the heat. Oh and don't forget to put a lid on the saucepan. Lol! someone I knew forgot to do
